Villa Nautica, Paradise Island

Villa Nautica gave us one of those holidays that stays with you long after you have returned home. We had high expectations for our trip to the Maldives, but our time on the island ended up being even more special than we had imagined. The island is simply beautiful, with gorgeous, well-kept beaches, crystal-clear water and tropical surroundings that really do feel like paradise. We were amazed by the marine life and saw so many different kinds of fish, as well as sharks that we regularly had the opportunity to snorkel with. The entire resort is also exceptionally clean and very well maintained. There is plenty to do if you want a break from simply relaxing on the beach. We really appreciated how many activities were already included, such as canoeing, table tennis, billiards, basketball, tennis and volleyball. We also had a great time on the fishing trip. And for anyone looking for even more relaxation, there is a beautiful spa offering a wide selection of treatments at an additional cost. As wonderful as the island itself is, however, what made this holiday truly exceptional for us was the people. The warmth and hospitality of the Villa Nautica team were something we experienced every single day. Everywhere on the island we were greeted with smiles, friendly words and the genuine feeling that the staff really cared about making our stay as enjoyable as possible. We would especially like to thank Dillon, our host, who took such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. Whenever we needed something, he was there to help. He was attentive, kind and incredibly helpful, and thanks to him we always felt that everything was taken care of. At the restaurant, Geethika quickly became the soul of our mealtimes. Together with Kamal, she greeted us every day with a big smile and a few kind words, and seeing them both became a lovely part of our daily routine. We also really enjoyed the food. There was a great selection every day and everything we tried was delicious. We particularly loved how accommodating the team was with younger guests. Whenever the kids couldn't find something they wanted at the buffet, they were happy to prepare some nuggets and fries for them. It may sound like a small thing, but these little gestures are exactly what make you feel so well cared for. Another person we have very fond memories of is Meraj from the buggy team. Even when he was busy driving other guests around, he would never pass us without a wave or a greeting. We always enjoyed our little conversations with him — particularly the ones about football! A big thank you also goes to Samy from the entertainment team. His fire show was fantastic, but our son probably remembers the magic card tricks Samy took the time to show him just as much. Samy told us, “Welcome to Villa Nautica, your second home,” and by the time we had to leave, we understood exactly what he meant. And of course, we cannot forget Hamsa. His dancing show was amazing, and I had a lot of fun playing volleyball with him — although perhaps “against him” would be more accurate! He was always keeping an eye on everyone and doing his best to make sure nobody got hurt. I unfortunately failed to cooperate with that plan, but luckily he proved to be just as good at looking after my injury afterwards! There were, of course, many other members of the Villa Nautica team whose names we unfortunately don't know. Every person we met contributed in some way to making our holiday special through their friendliness, kindness and willingness to help. We mention these people by name simply because we were lucky enough to spend a little more time with them, have a few more conversations and share some moments that we will remember for a long time. Leaving Villa Nautica was much harder than we expected. We didn't just leave with beautiful memories of beaches, turquoise water and island life; we also felt as though we were saying goodbye to people we had genuinely grown fond of. Weeks later, we are still talking about our holiday, telling our friends stories about our time there and recommending that they experience this wonderful place for themselves. Thank you to everyone at Villa Nautica for making our stay so memorable. Fantastic experience at Nautica Villa Paradise Island. The snorkeling and diving around the resort was amazing - we saw sharks, sting ray, sea turtle just around our villa. Thanks to our amazing hostess Glory - for keeping us informed of programs, doing magical things for us.
