The hotel

Not just a hotel, Zilwa Attitude is more of an experience, embracing the life of the islanders. With a relaxed village feel, it is packed with authentic Mauritian experiences so you’ll truly feel like one of the natives after a week or two here. In a beautiful location, overlooking endless stretches of sandy beach and with stunning views of no less than five islands, it is a slice of heaven. Just a few minutes away by boat, or a short paddle, is Grand Zil where you can while away a few hours on a lounger and perhaps tuck in to a barbecue lunch — or enjoy a rejuvenating massage on the smaller Ti Zil. Rooms are inspired from traditional seaside bungalows and are contemporary in design but rustic too with rough white-washed walls and brushed cement floors. Embracing bright colours, there's a choice of room types, as well as family rooms, apartments and suites by the sea. Book a treatment at the world-class spa and take some time to chill on a day bed in the relaxation garden whilst listening to the twitter of birdsong. As you kick back, the little ones will be kept happy at the kids' club, with a fun garden, a games room and a large boat to explore and escape the sun ! There are seven restaurants at Zilwa, offering cuisines from European to Creole, Indian and Asian, and the All Inclusive dine-around experience means you can discover wonderful varied meals each day of your stay.

Our stay at Zilwa Attitude in Mauritius was truly exceptional. From the very first moment, the hotel impresses with its beautiful, lush greenery and well-maintained surroundings, creating a wonderful tropical atmosphere. The entire property is very clean, carefully looked after, and every detail is thoughtfully designed. The overall atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and very welcoming, while everything is maintained at a high standard. It’s the perfect place to truly unwind and enjoy the unique spirit of the island. Special recognition goes to the staff — professional, friendly, and always willing to help. In particular, I would like to praise the bar team — incredibly kind, engaging, and attentive people who create a fantastic atmosphere and make you want to come back every day. [ Satyam, Jim, Ayush, Jonatan, Nabaraj💛] This is definitely a place worth recommending — perfect for both relaxation and unforgettable holidays. I would happily return! We enjoyed a fantastic honeymoon at Zilwa Attitude staying for a very memorable 12 nights. Upon arrival the welcome is five star and then when first entering the hotel you get the wow factor with the view that is exactly as pictures show. Rooms are spacious and have a great layout. Bed very comfortable and a lovely balcony (we had a garden/partial sea view). Restaurants are all top class, our favourite was Lor Disab on the beach. Manao (Thai) & Tadka (Indian) were also very good. The Mauritian and Buffet we only visited once but both were nice. Breakfast was to a high standard with eggs being cooked to order. Lots of options. A must is Grand Zil (island bbq) which is an experience and the food is delicious. Mixed with beer and fantastic Rum cocktails it’s a few hours very well spent in glorious surroundings. The staff make this place though, always very friendly with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. There are too many to name but the following excelled. Grand Zil Roven & Mike Beach Bar Lensley, Dursun, Nadish & Ashley Lor Disab Ashley & Sharmeen Main Bar Jonathon, Ayush & Satyam Thank you to everyone at Zilwa for making it such a special honeymoon and really hope we can return again. We had an amazing trip to Mauritius at Zilwa Attitude. We arrived slightly early and was given a room straight away which was a lovely bonus considering such a long flight. We were welcomed with friendly staff and a gorgeous view of the ocean as we entered open plan bar/seating area. The room was spacious, clean and good views of the garden, sun loungers. The room could have done with more plug sockets but we managed. We used the gym, spa, water activities, aqu aerobics and archery which we thoroughly enjoyed. The beach was amazingly clean and the food felt high quality along with lots of options for vegeterian and vegan which was changed daily at the buffet restaurant. We enjoyed a unforgettable candle light dinner on the beach to celebrate my partners 40th birthday and the staff made such a fuss and helped us celebrate. We enjoyed the facilities and hotel so much we would move to come back again! On a side note we felt Moana (Thai) restaurant the service was not particularly great ignored and got silent treatment for no reason and food was average. We would like to recognise the following people who went above and beyond and enjoyed our chats and made us feel welcome and had such high customer service. If you could pass our thanks to these individuals please House Keeping for 3206 (Kamlesh) kept room clean and put smile on our face daily with his sweet messages. Tadka Restaurant (Rishi) went above and beyond and always made sure we were fed well and took care of us. Lor Disab - Dinner (Ashley and Sharmeen) service was high enjoyed our chats and ended up eating here 3 times. Beach Towel (Pratab) greeted us by name and always was polite. Finally the ladies who did Aqua Gym daily there energy was high and our 11am morning workouts were so fun. Read less

We stayed at the Zilwa Attitude Hotel from 8th March - 22nd March 2026 on an All Inclusive basis. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it is a fabulous hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The room was clean, with plenty of storage and we didn't have any issues (although the hair dryer could have had a longer lead). The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was effective during the very hot and humid weather. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The bar staff were really adept at making various cocktails. It was nice that we could get free snacks and replenish our fridge with water and drinks from the eco friendly bulk shop. There was a good choice of food....bit different to our English food as expected, so had to be a bit adventurous. The pools were great and clean. The beach was a little disappointing as the sea was very shallow for a considerable distance. Hotel approved taxis were available, with fixed prices just inside the hotel entrance. Always book any trips through your tour Rep. In our case, we booked through BA and they use 'Summertimes'. We had three excellent trips with them....almost like a private tour as there were only 6-8 of us on each trip. Word of caution...do not book any trips with 'Big John' who touts on the beach. He is NOT part of the hotel. We booked one trip with him on a speedboat. It was being driven a ridiculous speed and not conducive to the sea state. No life jackets and no regard to passenger safety. We were being thrown about the boat and could easily have been thrown overboard in the rough sea. Overall a fabulous holiday and would love to go back to the Zilwa. Read less

´My experience is very good, it was my 2nd visit to this hotel. The first one was in 2017. I must say the level of services is high and constantly improving.
