The hotel

Not just a hotel, Zilwa Attitude is more of an experience, embracing the life of the islanders. With a relaxed village feel, it is packed with authentic Mauritian experiences so you’ll truly feel like one of the natives after a week or two here. In a beautiful location, overlooking endless stretches of sandy beach and with stunning views of no less than five islands, it is a slice of heaven. Just a few minutes away by boat, or a short paddle, is Grand Zil where you can while away a few hours on a lounger and perhaps tuck in to a barbecue lunch — or enjoy a rejuvenating massage on the smaller Ti Zil. Rooms are inspired from traditional seaside bungalows and are contemporary in design but rustic too with rough white-washed walls and brushed cement floors. Embracing bright colours, there's a choice of room types, as well as family rooms, apartments and suites by the sea. Book a treatment at the world-class spa and take some time to chill on a day bed in the relaxation garden whilst listening to the twitter of birdsong. As you kick back, the little ones will be kept happy at the kids' club, with a fun garden, a games room and a large boat to explore and escape the sun ! There are seven restaurants at Zilwa, offering cuisines from European to Creole, Indian and Asian, and the All Inclusive dine-around experience means you can discover wonderful varied meals each day of your stay.

WOW! Just returned from our amazing stay at Zilwa Attitude and do not have anything negative to report on. The views from the hotel are breathtaking, the crystal blue waters and access to the private island for bbq lunches! The rooms are clean, spacious and the cleaning staff go all out on tidying up! The food is brilliant with a such a good variety in the buffet and the restaurants that can be booked as much as you like! Our personal favourite was the Thai, it was so good. Meal times are never too busy and crowded due to having a variety of choices at lunch and dinner. The bars provide a wide range of drinks and we cannot thank every staff member working at Zilwa, they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be and without them the stay wouldn’t have been the same! Big thank you to Satyam, Niraj and Ashley for the delicious cocktails and service you constantly provided to us! Read less

Thank you to Big John and his professional and kind team for making this happen and giving us memories we will cherish forever. Our stay at Zilwa Attitude has been exceptional. The water activities, selection of pools, entertainment and incredible food has all been outstanding. I would thoroughly recommend this resort. Read less

We stayed at Zilwa Attitude for our honeymoon for two weeks in early May and had the most amazing time! The hotel itself is stunning—romantic and intimate, although we also saw lots of families having a wonderful time. With panaromic views overlooking the Northern islands of Mauritius, Zilwa is set on a small private beach offering a range of water sports like paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, hobby cat sailing, and PADI scuba courses. We’d always wanted to try scuba diving and were blown away by the experience. A huge thank you to Ansi, our instructor, who made us feel completely safe and at ease as beginners. Seeing lionfish, octopus, moray eels, and a kaleidoscope of tropical fish in just one dive was unforgettable—easily one of the highlights of our trip! Zilwa also offers a daily boat trip from the beach to a nearby private island for BBQ lunches—such a lovely touch. Special thanks to Rowan for the delicious Jungle Juice cocktail and even letting us try our hand at mixing a few ourselves! The staff at Zilwa were beyond friendly —warm, attentive, and always smiling. A big thank you especially to Satyan, Kohan, and Avinash at the bar for keeping our drinks coming before we even had to ask. And Bhavesh also deserves a shout-out for his poolside service! Our room at Zilwa was spacious, spotless, and eco-conscious. We especially loved the "tuck shop" where you can restock your mini-bar daily with beer, soft drinks, water, snacks, and more—such a fun and flexible idea. We also used the on-site trip service (SummerTime) to book a hire car and a few excursions. Everything was clearly explained and ran smoothly. We highly recommend both the Five Islands Speedboat Tour and a catamaran cruise—absolutely worth it! On chill days, we relaxed by the beach or chose one of the larger pools. We even joined in on some of the entertainment activities thanks to Aniket's unwavering, contagious enthusiasm—AquaGym and water polo ended up being a blast! Dining at Zilwa was another highlight. There are five onsite restaurants to choose from, including Thai, Indian, Mauritian, a beach restaurant, and the main buffet. Our two favourites were Tadka (Indian) and Manao (Thai), which we kept going back to. For my husband’s birthday, we were touched to be given a beautifully decorated outdoor table at Manao - without asking! Parag was incredibly attentive and made the entire evening feel truly special—thank you for an unforgettable birthday dinner! Overall, Zilwa Attitude gave us the honeymoon of our dreams. We couldn't recommend higher and we can’t wait to return! Read less

From the moment we arrived at Zilwa Attitude, we knew we were in for something special. The warm welcome, stunning views and refreshing local drinks, set the tone for a truly magical holiday. The resort itself is stunning, blending rustic-chic charm with modern comforts. Our room was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed to reflect the island’s natural beauty and culture. What really sets Zilwa apart is its authenticity and attention to detail. Each meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the “Gran Zil” private island BBQ experience—and the Beach Bar “Lor Disab” where we enjoyed a delicious lobster dinner. The staff deserve special mention. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and cared for. Special thanks to Ashley, who went above and beyond for us, and also Satyam and Akish for their exceptional service. Activities were well-organised and we enjoyed kyaking round the bay. Zilwa Attitude is more than just a hotel— we left with unforgettable memories, and a strong desire to return. If you’re looking for a true island escape with character, charm, and soul, this is the place. Read less
