The hotel

Not just a hotel, Zilwa Attitude is more of an experience, embracing the life of the islanders. With a relaxed village feel, it is packed with authentic Mauritian experiences so you’ll truly feel like one of the natives after a week or two here. In a beautiful location, overlooking endless stretches of sandy beach and with stunning views of no less than five islands, it is a slice of heaven. Just a few minutes away by boat, or a short paddle, is Grand Zil where you can while away a few hours on a lounger and perhaps tuck in to a barbecue lunch — or enjoy a rejuvenating massage on the smaller Ti Zil. Rooms are inspired from traditional seaside bungalows and are contemporary in design but rustic too with rough white-washed walls and brushed cement floors. Embracing bright colours, there's a choice of room types, as well as family rooms, apartments and suites by the sea. Book a treatment at the world-class spa and take some time to chill on a day bed in the relaxation garden whilst listening to the twitter of birdsong. As you kick back, the little ones will be kept happy at the kids' club, with a fun garden, a games room and a large boat to explore and escape the sun ! There are seven restaurants at Zilwa, offering cuisines from European to Creole, Indian and Asian, and the All Inclusive dine-around experience means you can discover wonderful varied meals each day of your stay.

We enjoyed are stay at Zilwa Attitude Hotel. Good food, clean rooms and friendly staff. We made a boat Trip to the northern Island with Big John. It was perfect. We saw Turtles and Rays while snorkeling. The boat was clean and the staff was so kind. They made an amazing BBQ on flat Island for us.

I am writing this review on day two of our holiday at Zilwa Hotel, Mauritius. We experienced a few issues during our journey to the hotel and on arrival. However, I can honestly say that Gregory (the Liverpool fan!) and his line manager (apologies, I have forgotten your name) have been outstanding in resolving every concern we raised. I cannot speak highly enough of these two members of the management team. Both have gone above and beyond to ensure that our stay at Zilwa is the best it can possibly be. The manager has even taken the time to visit us at dinner and check that not only we, but other guests as well, are enjoying their holiday. If you know anything about Mauritius and its wonderful people, you will know they treat you like family and make you feel genuinely welcome. The hotel offers a fantastic range of facilities, including multiple swimming pools and restaurants. Aside from the buffet restaurant, the speciality restaurants need to be booked in advance through the guest desk located near the buffet area. There is also a shop where you can refill the minibar in your room at no extra cost as part of the all-inclusive package. If you are looking for a holiday destination with plenty to do and a variety of dining options each evening, we would highly recommend this hotel. Finally, I would ask whoever reads this at ownership or senior management level to recognise Gregory and his line manager for their exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and commitment to making our holiday truly enjoyable. Thank you both Roy & Fiona (3105) Read less

Fantastic holiday at the Zilwa. All staff so friendly and helpful. Food everywhere was delicious. Beach very shallow so water very low when tide is out so not really able to swim or use some beach equipment like paddle boards at times. Would recommend this hotel.

Shout out to Chef Woody at Manao and his staff for the fantastic food at Manoa and to Rishi and Pritam at Thadka for their hospitality. The highlight was the lunch on the little islet. the kids loved exploring the islets during low tide. the food was great (specially the octopus curry).
