The hotel

Not just a hotel, Zilwa Attitude is more of an experience, embracing the life of the islanders. With a relaxed village feel, it is packed with authentic Mauritian experiences so you’ll truly feel like one of the natives after a week or two here. In a beautiful location, overlooking endless stretches of sandy beach and with stunning views of no less than five islands, it is a slice of heaven. Just a few minutes away by boat, or a short paddle, is Grand Zil where you can while away a few hours on a lounger and perhaps tuck in to a barbecue lunch — or enjoy a rejuvenating massage on the smaller Ti Zil. Rooms are inspired from traditional seaside bungalows and are contemporary in design but rustic too with rough white-washed walls and brushed cement floors. Embracing bright colours, there's a choice of room types, as well as family rooms, apartments and suites by the sea. Book a treatment at the world-class spa and take some time to chill on a day bed in the relaxation garden whilst listening to the twitter of birdsong. As you kick back, the little ones will be kept happy at the kids' club, with a fun garden, a games room and a large boat to explore and escape the sun ! There are seven restaurants at Zilwa, offering cuisines from European to Creole, Indian and Asian, and the All Inclusive dine-around experience means you can discover wonderful varied meals each day of your stay.

I have spoken the one of the senior managers. few days ago. The call went well to what both parties thought. Everything got even worse between this Manager Mr G T when one of my earlier post was posted by mistake. For some reason my earlier post got submitted by mistake either by the system or me making a mistake by clicking something wrong. Of Course Mr G T not willing to believe me…. however when I explained to him, that although we agreed on something does not meant that what was posted isn’t the truth. I did have a awful time at the hotel , I was treated badly, they did not understand what a disabled person with mobility issues means, there were many issues which I reported immediately and Nothing was done or convey to senior management Hence Reason for this call was to explain that I have tried to have since April 2026 while I was still at the hotel. Since I stayed at Zilwa Attitude Hotel before , I thought let me deal these problems I faced this time directly with their in-house Front desk office. Of course which was ignored … which I found out after I emailed Mrs N D S … which again took so long to get a response ( I have all emailed correspondence to back this up) Wrong room was given with three flights of stairs , They could not understand at all what a registered disabled person with mobility issues means, Broken leaking fridge changed twice on my time , had to wait a while to request a buggy to get collect , one staffs says we do not provide this service other says we will. I guess had to be approved by management!!!!! , while in the queue at front office only to be ignored and customers behind got serve ahead. Group of men around a 6/7 for last twos were smoking pots or some sort of weeds , while hotel staffs were there … nothing … both times I reported because there few German families with babies …. this did not get reported to senior management although I left many messages, front Gate keep asking if I am a taxi driver pick up guests …. I saw , asked other guests what is asked at the main gate … All three answers were “ Names and Room numbers or are a resident at the Hotel “. In my case are you picking up guests , why are you here, etc When i gave my name and room number were NEVER Sufficient…. Which Front Office And Mr G T played this down … NOT willing to accept there is something completely wrong here. Also There was argument made with me because I did my booking with head office and long story given to me Head office do not know about rooms availability, upgrade, mobility issues etc. The call made by Ms D to Lagoon Hotel to confirm my onwards trip to next Attitude hotel went even worst. There is a problem in Mauritius where one is treated differently from other guests for example where one comes from …. But I know and experience it myself on few occasions …. To be told that this did not happened to me by Mr G T made it even worse …. denying it for me … is that He is encouraging it rather than dealing with it. I only wish I never stayed there and asked for a full refund … because truly Attitude Hotel Dows Not deserve my business Read less

Great place to stay. 1 hour outside of St Louis town centre. Very clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful. Even calling us on last day to get feedback on my stay. This was a big birthday trip for me and I mentioned it in an email to the resort several months before we arrived. They took note of this and surprised me with Happy Birthday on the bed linen using the flowers around the resort as decor and also presenting me with a birthday cake at one of the restaurants we ate at, which was a great surprise and made my day. We found out why they were giving us loads of attention and supplying us with extra food and drinks, which we were surprised at initially before they presented the birthday cake! Eating at the various restaurants was an added treat. They all gave the guests lots of attention and asking for feedback on food. One thing to note, it is best to have the All Inclusive option as the costs can increase very quickly if you want to take advantage of the various restaurants and snacks and water activities etc. That said we had a great and positive stay. We stayed at Zilwa on the last weekend of April 25-27 April, and we were a group of 17 persons. I must say that overall I was extremely happy and satisfied with my experience. Since I was the one organising, i must give credit to the reservation team who handled my complex booking without any fuss. Everything was well organised and perfect. At the hotel, all that we requested was catered for. We had the perfect day on GranZil Island with the bbq lunch which really was the highlight of our stay. The rooms were also good even though it was quite far from the lobby area, but that did not bother us more than that. Hotel compounds very clean, lots of amenities, buffet quality was also very good, nothing to complain about. Since we were on all inclusive package we really loved that we could enjoy every meal, had as much drinks as we’d like to. Overall I am very happy and would like to thank all the staff members who were absolutely fab, very friendly, accommodating! Organised our early checkins, late checkouts, birthday diner. Just a huge thank you and we will definitely be back. Read less
