On the north coast of Mauritius, in Kalodyne, close to the fishermen’s village of Grand Gaube. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

Superior Rooms with terrace or balcony have 1 double-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years.
All Inclusive of: breakfast in the main buffet restaurant Karay. Lunch at Lor Disab beach restaurant, Gran Zil BBQ and Taba-J snack bar. Traditional Mauritian afternoon tea at Taba-J snack bar (sweet, savouries and pancakes). Dinner in the main buffet restaurant Karay, Tadka Restaurant, Kot Nou and Manao. Guests also enjoy two dinners at Lor Disab beach restaurant (reservations required, minimum stay 5 nights). Alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and hot beverages including water, soft drinks, juice, locally bottled spirits, beer, wine by the glass, and filter coffee. A selection of drinks and snacks at the bulk shop from 8:00am-11:00pm. Tea, coffee and sweet local goodies from 3:30pm-6:00pm at Taba-J. Local snacks served with evening drinks. Superior Partial Sea View Rooms, Superior Sea View Rooms (with views across the gardens and pool towards the sea) and Superior Beachfront Rooms all have 1 double-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child (under 12 years).
Family Rooms feature a main bedroom area and adjacent living area with canopy bed which converts to a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children/teens.
Family Deluxe Rooms have two en-suite bedrooms (one with double bed and a kids' room with 3 single beds), sleeping maximum 2 adults and 3 children or 2 adults and 2 teens.
Family Apartments consist of two interconnecting Superior Rooms that share a joined entrance hall. Family Apartments Sea View consist of two interconnecting Superior Sea View Rooms (double beds or twin beds) that share a joined entrance hall. They sleep maximum 4 adults and 2 children.
Couples Deluxe Partial Seaview Rooms and Couples Deluxe Beachfront Rooms (with direct sea view) both have 1 double-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.
Couples Junior Suite Beachfront Rooms with a separate living room, and 1 double-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.
Couples Privilege Suite Sea View or Couples Privilege Suite Beachfront, both with jacuzzi and 1 double-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

The food is brilliant with a such a good variety in the buffet and the restaurants that can be booked as much as you like! Our personal favourite was the Thai, it was so good. Meal times are never too busy and crowded due to having a variety of choices at lunch and dinner.
The bars provide a wide range of drinks and we cannot thank every staff member working at Zilwa, they go above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best it can be and without them the stay wouldn’t have been the same! Big thank you to Satyam, Niraj and Ashley for the delicious cocktails and service you constantly provided to us!

We stayed at Zilwa Attitude for our honeymoon for two weeks in early May and had the most amazing time! The hotel itself is stunning—romantic and intimate, although we also saw lots of families having a wonderful time. With panaromic views overlooking the Northern islands of Mauritius, Zilwa is set on a small private beach offering a range of water sports like paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, hobby cat sailing, and PADI scuba courses.
We’d always wanted to try scuba diving and were blown away by the experience. A huge thank you to Ansi, our instructor, who made us feel completely safe and at ease as beginners. Seeing lionfish, octopus, moray eels, and a kaleidoscope of tropical fish in just one dive was unforgettable—easily one of the highlights of our trip!
Zilwa also offers a daily boat trip from the beach to a nearby private island for BBQ lunches—such a lovely touch. Special thanks to Rowan for the delicious Jungle Juice cocktail and even letting us try our hand at mixing a few ourselves!
The staff at Zilwa were beyond friendly —warm, attentive, and always smiling. A big thank you especially to Satyan, Kohan, and Avinash at the bar for keeping our drinks coming before we even had to ask. And Bhavesh also deserves a shout-out for his poolside service!
Our room at Zilwa was spacious, spotless, and eco-conscious. We especially loved the "tuck shop" where you can restock your mini-bar daily with beer, soft drinks, water, snacks, and more—such a fun and flexible idea.
We also used the on-site trip service (SummerTime) to book a hire car and a few excursions. Everything was clearly explained and ran smoothly. We highly recommend both the Five Islands Speedboat Tour and a catamaran cruise—absolutely worth it!
On chill days, we relaxed by the beach or chose one of the larger pools. We even joined in on some of the entertainment activities thanks to Aniket's unwavering, contagious enthusiasm—AquaGym and water polo ended up being a blast!
Dining at Zilwa was another highlight. There are five onsite restaurants to choose from, including Thai, Indian, Mauritian, a beach restaurant, and the main buffet. Our two favourites were Tadka (Indian) and Manao (Thai), which we kept going back to. For my husband’s birthday, we were touched to be given a beautifully decorated outdoor table at Manao - without asking! Parag was incredibly attentive and made the entire evening feel truly special—thank you for an unforgettable birthday dinner!
Overall, Zilwa Attitude gave us the honeymoon of our dreams. We couldn't recommend higher and we can’t wait to return!

What really sets Zilwa apart is its authenticity and attention to detail. Each meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We especially loved the “Gran Zil” private island BBQ experience—and the Beach Bar “Lor Disab” where we enjoyed a delicious lobster dinner.
The staff deserve special mention. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay unforgettable.
