Conrad Hit or Miss We are normally a Marriott family, but after reading so many nice reviews, and securing a great rate, we thought we’d try a Conrad( 1st time) I think it was Nice , but not a Ritz. Pros Extra half bath is amazing when traveling with teens/college kids Plates , silverware, wine & champagne glasses in room Toaster, microwave, refrigerator in room. They kindly sent us an amenity for our anniversary. Sunscreen, After sun, and bottled water all free at pool. Hilton gold and above receive $50 a day credit ( doesn’t go far at Conrad)- but still appreciated Location Direct crosswalk to the beach. Great service at Beach ( Alex & Adam) *Archibolds bakery ( 1 block away)- fantastic scones, cinnamon rolls, coffee *S3 restaurant ( 2blocks away at Beach hotel)wonderful seafood, sushi, and amazing happy hour from 4-7 *Lona (in Westin), 3 blocks, modern Mexican with Great margaritas and guacamole House keeping is wonderful, and rooms have service and privacy buttons. They always greeted us with a smile, and I know theirs is a tough job. Cons We did appreciate upgrade , but room is was a bit small, especially when sofa bed was out. She did warn me balcony was small- she was right , not really room for 2 people to stand out there Almost seemed like it may need a refresh ( chair in bedroom had big stain) Cornucopia grab and go & spinnaker at pool were fairly expensive-Cappuccino ($10), breakfast sandwich ($12) buffalo wings($26) most alcoholic beverages ( $20) Chicken Caesar ( $26) They start collecting beach chairs 4:45p Takato( in Conrad)-Asian fusion. Very loud, very rushed, service, almost robotic. They ask you order all food at once , and it arrives in no certain order. Food was good, but overpriced. Pool a bit small, and very busy on weekends. • we were lucky enough to catch a Hilton “sale” rate which included $100 property credit.( excluded room rate and taxes). However when we arrived, we were told that credit could only be used at grab and go location and pool only. While I still think it was a nice perk, I would have rather used it at the two restaurants on site. Read less

As a Hilton Diamond member, I had high expectations for my stay at Conrad Fort Lauderdale. The property certainly has strong points, but there were several areas where the experience didn’t fully align with what I’d expect from a luxury hotel. The hotel did honor early check-in, which was appreciated. As part of my Diamond benefits, I received a $50 nightly food and beverage credit—very useful and a nice touch. However, room upgrades were not provided during my stay, which was a disappointment given my status. The room was comfortable, very spacious and well-maintained, though both the room itself and the general areas of the hotel felt a little dated. That said, everything was kept in good condition. Housekeeping service was adequate overall, but the checkout experience was unpleasant. On the morning of departure, housekeeping rang the doorbell at 9:00 AM and again at 10:59 AM, asking both times if we were ready to leave, just one minute before official checkout time. This gave the impression of being rushed out. Valet service was prompt and reliable. The only delays occurred during peak rush hour, when wait times for the car extended to 5–10 minutes. Still, the team handled it efficiently given the demand. We only used the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The food was good, portions reasonable and pricing fair. That said, the service lacked polish and the restaurant’s furniture felt dated. On both occasions, we were seated at wobbly tables. For a property marketed as a luxury hotel, several small details were missing. There was no turndown service, no slippers in the room and the checkout process felt rushed rather than relaxed. The bath included bath salts, which was nice, but lacked shampoo and conditioner, making it necessary to shower to properly wash my hair. The front desk staff were consistently helpful and professional. When the concierge was unavailable, they even assisted in securing dinner reservations outside the hotel, which was much appreciated. Overall Conrad Fort Lauderdale offers some solid amenities and good value through Hilton Diamond benefits, but it misses on the fine details that define a true luxury stay. While the rooms and public areas are slightly dated, they are maintained well. With improvements in service consistency, guest comfort at checkout, and attention to luxury touches, this property could better live up to its brand promise. Read less

Nice hotel with a great location. Spacious rooms with great views. Italian restaurant on site is excellent! The small cafe next door is a great find too.
