Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Daytona Beach, Gold Coast Beaches

Star rating

The hotel

The only thing between this hotel and Daytona Beach is its fabulous shore-side pool deck. Looking out over the ocean, it stretches down to a handful of steps that lead you directly onto Florida’s most famous sands. It’s a view that’s also captured while you’re dining on seafood specialities at Doc Bale’s Grill, tucking into street food inspired dishes at The Blind Turtle, and enjoying at tipple or two at McCoys Rum Room and Waves Beach Bar. But it’s not all sun, sea, and sand at Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort — you'll also love the gym, spa, and prime location among the shops and entertainment of Ocean Walk Village.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating WORST HILTON WE'VE EVER STAYED IN

Absolute WORST Hilston we have ever stayed in. We've only been here 2 days, and are already thinking about checking out early and finding another resort. Maybe we've become spoiled by Hiltons in Mexico and other countries, but we will never visit this one again. Most of the elevators don't work, long wait times just to get to your room. My… Read more
Absolute WORST Hilston we have ever stayed in. We've only been here 2 days, and are already thinking about checking out early and finding another resort. Maybe we've become spoiled by Hiltons in Mexico and other countries, but we will never visit this one again. Most of the elevators don't work, long wait times just to get to your room. My biggest complaint? The lack of OPEN restaurants & bars on site. This place is BIG, and to have only ONE Bar open is insane. If you want a Bloody Mary in the morning, forget about it, ain't happening unless you leave the property. They have a bar on the 1st floor by the check in, but I've never seen it open unless it opens late evening. They closed the entire pool and bar down today Saturday 3/29 due to "inclement weather", yet.... every resort on the boardwalk next to it left and right was open and alive and well. Hilton was the only resort that was closed for the day in this area. Let's not even talk about the extremely OLD and outdated rooms. We got the King Suite on the 4th floor with an extra pull out bed for our 10 year old son. We pulled out the bed, it looked 20 years old. The mattress had springs popping out of it, the frame didn't even lay even on the floor. Our son is now sleeping on the sofa instead of the pull out bed. I used over 220,000 points + $1,300 to stay here during Spring Break, NEVER AGAIN will we come to this Hilton. And I plan to file a complaint with Hilton Honors on all of the points this has cost us, so not worth it and we rethinking our Hilton Honors membership. This is a Hilton... DO BETTER! Read less

The absolute worst. We booked a King suite with a sofa bed. When we arrived, the sofa bed had not been pulled out indicating that it was ready to use as would have been done in other hotels. I called the front desk to ask if the bed could be made up and we left for the afternoon. When we arrived back, there was no change, so I went to the… Read more
The absolute worst. We booked a King suite with a sofa bed. When we arrived, the sofa bed had not been pulled out indicating that it was ready to use as would have been done in other hotels. I called the front desk to ask if the bed could be made up and we left for the afternoon. When we arrived back, there was no change, so I went to the front desk and asked in person for the bed to be made. I spoke to Simone. She told me she would put in a request but could not guarantee when we would receive the items. After returning from dinner, there was still no change so I went back to the front desk to complain. I spoke to Jacob Beatty and was told there was nothing he could do except make the request again. He was absolutely no help whatsoever and made zero effort to offer any solutions. This is such an awful experience, I don’t ever want to stay here again and will now think twice about staying at another Hilton. I would have checked out immediately if I had not already been charged. I paid $1140 for 3 nights and this is the kind of incompetent service that I have to pay for. So not only are we having to wait for linens when we want to go to bed, but the sofa bed is lumpy and crooked. The room had no shower gel, tissues, and not enough towels for us as a family. Eventually we received the items after my husband went down the the front desk. He was still blocked by Jacob Beatty but eventually was able to talk with the supervising manager Jennifer who assured us we would get the bedding before 9:00pm. Although the matter was ultimately resolved, I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. Read less

The view on oceanfront is amazing. Ill never question that. The room quality and leanliness is where the 2 started. Then finding out to park at the hotel you're staying at is another $50/night pissed me off. They covered parking prices on the valet ticket with white tape to hide pricing. When I asked why they said rates went up again and the new parking company asked them to to. Deceive the guests. Buffet was still good for breakfast but even that has gone through the roof and its no longer included as a gold member but you get $15off. Covers the increase. Now the rooms? Wow! Dated, dirty and in disrepair and price there went up as well. Hardly affordable and hence the reason I don't visit like I used to. Read less

My wife has been coming here since 2013. It held a special place in her heart. This is why for our anniversary and her birthday, this is where she wanted to go. Regretfully, we are not sure we are coming back based off the experience. Not even sure where to start... Went during spring break week. Crowded week for Daytona so you would figure all amenities would be open. The Rum Room was closed. The breakfast buffets for the morning were not happening. Tried to order room service at 9:54pm. Had to beg because it was closing at 10pm. Food was terrible and thrown together. Only 1 of 4 elevators was working. One time on that elevator, the doors weren't opening all the way and they had to be pried open. Another time, before the elevator went up it dropped and bounced like it was falling. Everyone jumped out of the elevator and we used the staff one. The pool had trash all over it to the point we couldn't use it. Tried to use the public bathrooms and couldnt because the toilets were full and overflowing. Couldn't open our window because flies would come in. When we arrived at the hotel and checked in, the person checking us in told us about a shooting that took place on the beach directly behind the hotel the previous day. Mentioned it happens every year. Would you want to go to the beach after being told that? So in other words, could not use the all of the restaurants, the bathrooms, the pool, the elevators, and the beach(safely). They still charged the same resort fee of $25 as on weekends. Just didnt have the value or amenities. We actually left days early. Couldnt take it. Read less
