Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort

Daytona Beach, Gold Coast Beaches

Star rating

The hotel

The only thing between this hotel and Daytona Beach is its fabulous shore-side pool deck. Looking out over the ocean, it stretches down to a handful of steps that lead you directly onto Florida’s most famous sands. It’s a view that’s also captured while you’re dining on seafood specialities at Doc Bale’s Grill, tucking into street food inspired dishes at The Blind Turtle, and enjoying at tipple or two at McCoys Rum Room and Waves Beach Bar. But it’s not all sun, sea, and sand at Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort — you'll also love the gym, spa, and prime location among the shops and entertainment of Ocean Walk Village.

Chris in valet and Cyndi really have amazing customer service. Being from a small town it was nice having such an accommodating staff to make me feel comfortable and welcome with anything I needed help with.

I paid roughly $1,000 for a four-night stay and, unfortunately, the experience felt much closer to a motel than a resort. Check-in was uncomfortably long, and our room had a noticeable musty smell upon arrival. I was also under the impression I had booked a room with a balcony, only to discover it was a decorative “Juliet” style balcony that wasn’t usable. The air conditioning barely worked during our stay. We reported the issue, but nothing was done to resolve it. Housekeeping only serviced our room once during the entire stay, and on our final morning staff attempted to enter the room around 8:00 a.m. before checkout. The room itself showed significant wear and tear. There were holes in the curtains, the furniture was heavily worn with tears in the chair upholstery, and the pillows offered very little support. The elevators were another frustration. Two of the four appeared to be malfunctioning throughout our stay, leading to long waits, and cleanliness was lacking. The same nutshell remained on an elevator floor for the duration of our visit. One additional annoyance was that Jehovah’s Witnesses were stationed around the hotel property throughout our stay. While I fully support freedom of religion, I don’t expect to be approached about religious matters while on vacation at a resort. The positives: the valet staff were excellent, the poolside team was attentive and friendly, and the location is fantastic. Being within walking distance of the boardwalk and beach attractions was by far the hotel’s strongest feature. Overall, the location and staff in certain areas were great, but the condition of the property and lack of attention to reported issues did not justify the price we paid. Read less

Staff is unhelpful. The fees for parking, incidentals and everything else is exhorbent considering the outdated hotel. The rooms are ridiculously hot with A/C units that do not work effectively. The rooms are dirty; leftover hairs in the bathroom on the floor and in the tub, broken toilet, stains on the sheets, who knows if they even washed them or cleaned the floors. And this isn’t just one room; we requested to move rooms and the same things were wrong with the next room, minus the broken toilet; we just had a tub that was basically falling apart. If you are going to charge an arm and a leg, you should probably do a better job with upkeeping your hotel. I would never book this place for me and my family. Read less

Barabara is the best, very friendly and keeps all the boys in check. Blake greeted me warmly and Ollie drove my car, first time doing valet for don ricos! Stephen and Chance assisted me after i came back out, and the cute girls in the booth made my night! I think they were Alice and Airith. 10/10 food 10/10 staff

A classic Hilton, everything you need but this property is looking tired. For the price, I didn’t expect much but our 1 night stay was pleasant. We arrived late and checked out early, but it’s in a great Beach front location with restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Property is huge and we were in the complete otherside from where you check in which was quite annoying. Breakfast team were nice and friendly and food was of fair taste and quality. We have a Jeep Wrangler and it was Jeep Beach week so that was a cool experience, but something to be mindful of if you’re not into loud big cars (around April/May) Wouldn’t rush to return, but wouldn’t rule it out.
