Non-motorised water sports are included for 15 minutes a day, as is use of the over-water gym, so those who like to keep active will have lots to enjoy. This is a fun, lively island with lots going on including the daily DJ around the pool and live bands in the evening, but if you fancy making your stay even more special, why not head underneath it? Where is it

Located on Ailafushi Island in Male Atoll, and connected to the neighbouring island OBLU SELECT Lobigili by a 270m long jetty. Complimentary speedboat transfer from Velana International Airport on arrival and departure, taking approximately 15 minutes.

Beach Villas are just a few steps from the beach, with a private outdoor veranda and garden, inviting interior, walk-in wardrobe leading to a spa-like bathroom, double vanity, and a semi open-air bathroom. With 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Water Villas stretch into the dazzling lagoon, and are accessed by wooden jetty. Each water villa is shaped like a traditional Maldivian Boat – a ‘dhoni’ – creating a feeling of a romantic hideaway. With a private deck, and a staircase into the water, and a semi open-air bathroom. 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Ocean Family Two Bedrooms are the same as the Ocean View Rooms, with the addition of a second bedroom with bunkbeds in a story book theme for children, 2 bathrooms, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

OBLU Xperience Ailafushi was a dream come true. We visited for our 21st Anniversary and fell in love with the beautiful views, white sandy beach and clear blue water. As soon as we arrived at Male Airport the amazing customer service started, the lovely young lady checked us into our resort before we even arrived on the Island. The outstanding customer service continued throughout our stay until our departure from Maldives, we felt welcomed and well looked after by all the lovely staff members on the Island. We stayed in a water villa and would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Maldives. Our room attendant Russ was amazing he was lovely to talk to and went above and beyond to cater to any of our needs. When he found out it is our 21st Anniversary he even decorated our bed to suprise us. Another lovely person was Laxmi, who was really sweet and gifted us a beautiful handmade windchime made from shells for our Anniversary. Food was delicious with a good variety, catering for all visitors and the best part was it was all Halal so we didn't need to check on what we can and can't eat. The mocktails at the bar were also very nice. Snorkeling under our water villa and near Element X was the best experience, we swam with beautiful fishes and also baby sharks. My husband enjoyed volleyball everyday and made some good friends. It was a holiday we will always cherish and remember every moment. Read less

The manager was fantastic too and all the servers! Over all a fantastic location where our accomadation was! Loved the lagoon for swimming in early morning saw several baby sharks , coloured fish and beautiful angel fish! The downside! i always thought the maldives was a quiet and tranquil peaceful place, but unfortunately the music at the pool area sounded like you was in ibiza! Hence why we stayed near our villa and beach ! More tranquil tunes would of been better! ( this is my opinion only) would of been nice to have a house reef at the island! You could do trips but we found the prices too high and the trips we did book got cancelled several times, We also met the gm CB , He helped us out with a small problem! 10/10 to CB. Would i return yes one day but would like to try another island with a house reef on site! Read less

It was our first time in the Maldives and the resort was perfect! The water villas were beautiful and very comfortable, with a really unique and interesting bathroom design. Snorkeling around the resort itself was already a highlight – there are several great spots right on site, each a little different, and we loved exploring them. The all-inclusive package was fantastic – plenty of delicious food and drinks. We only had non-alcoholic drinks, but they were excellent. The food variety was impressive, with lots of fresh seafood, and one evening we also had traditional Maldivian dishes, which was a wonderful touch. The daily program was rich and diverse. On one side, the resort organized fun and cultural activities like foam parties, live music, and even traditional Maldivian drumming and singing. On the other side, there were the water activities and excursions – dolphin watching, visiting Malé and a local island, snorkeling with turtles, and the sandbank trip… All of these were amazing experiences, and the guides made them even better – they were so friendly, kind, and very helpful. The entire staff of the resort was just perfect – always smiling, polite, and genuinely warm. We also highly recommend the ELENA Spa, where we had a truly relaxing massage from Joy and Diska – unforgettable! And if you want a very special experience, don’t miss the underwater restaurant Only BLU – it’s one of a kind. Overall, this resort gave us a dream holiday full of fun, relaxation, and new experiences. The second group of us ran into a couple of small issues during their stay, however, as soon as they told housekeeping, they came quickly and fixed it. One thing we slightly missed in the evenings was a quiet shared space with tables, for playing board games or just relaxing. Read less
