The hotel

Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens, Paradise Cove Boutique Hotel is a gorgeous adults-only boutique hotel, offering guests a secluded retreat from the world. Aptly named, it really is paradise here with a pristine white beach and exceptional views of the lagoon and the northern islands from the peninsula. Highly romantic, the resort even offers ‘love nest’ twin sun beds. Also recommended is a visit to Spa Cinq Mondes. Not only does it boast a pool, hammam and flower baths, you can treat yourself to an Indian Ayurvedic massage — sure to banish any lingering cares! At the Paradise Cove, water sports are very much the order of the day, from snorkelling to water-skiing. Come dusk, Stay Bar is the place to sip on tropical cocktails whilst admiring the sunset. There’s live and unplugged music here too but first enjoy dinner at a choice of restaurants. For local dishes, the Dining Room is ideal or experience Asian fusion cuisine at XO. For a real treat, book a table at The Cove — highly romantic, tables for two are set in small huts, right on the beach, beside a coconut grove.

Spent a week in Paradise Cove. The hotel is in a secluded location in the north of the island about 30 minutes taxi ride from the main town of Port Louis. The hotel is adults only and accommodates around 140 adults. The staff are all lovely and just want to ensure that your stay is comfortable and that you are happy with everything. There are 4 restaurants, a general one which serves breakfast, lunch, and evening meals, which could be buffet, al la carte, or BBQ. The other 3 restaurants, XO, Pinnacle and The Cove, you must reserve and I would suggest to reserve ahead of your arrival as they tend to be booked up if left until your arrive. The food at all of the restaurants is excellent and could not be faulted. We chose The Cove to celebrate my husband’s birthday as this is set up as an intimate experience with individual tables of 2 in small separated covered huts set around the hotel’s beach. This is a supplement to the all inclusive package, but worth the treat as the food is absolutely delicious and Chef Vicky is truly talented and cares deeply that his guests enjoy his food, which we undoubtedly did. Our room which was a Junior suite was lovely and spacious and set on the ground floor overlooking the cove. The grounds themselves are very picturesque and there are many different areas to relax in and explore. The hotel also has daily activities for honeymooners, and also some for other guests. The general dynamic certainly during our stay was a few older couples, but mainly young honeymooners. For good food and a relaxing vibe, Paradise Cove certainly meets the brief. Read less

As the hotel’s name suggests, this really was Paradise. I’m a tad late on this review but I’ve had time to reflect on our experience and I must mention how stunning both the hotel and Mauritius as a whole was. We stayed at Paradise Cove for our honeymoon back in September 2025 and it was everything we dreamed of from a honeymoon destination. Everything was top notch, the food, the staff, the room. Everything. I honestly can’t think of any negatives that we encountered, maybe the fact that we missed out on experiencing the catamaran at the hotel due to the rough seas but that’s nothing the hotel can control. Our favourite part of the hotel was the private beach right on the edge near the sea. Sitting on the sun beds and looking out into the sea in the peace and quiet was lovely. This was indeed Paradise and it exceeded our expectations. The cove itself is also stunning and peaceful. If you want a relaxing holiday then this really lives up to it. Some personal highlights were related to activities related to the hotel. We booked a taxi for the day through the hotel and were able to explore the island with our own personal driver. If you’re staying here for a long period, I can’t recommend this enough as you get to explore and take in the fantastic scenery and culture that this country has to offer. Another highlight was the bike rides that you can pay to do through the hotel. Probably the best experience of our entire trip. Riding an e-bike around the local area was incredibly fun and a lovely way to experience the northern region. Our guide was lovely and very charming, telling us stories about different places. Again, I’d highly recommend doing an e-bike tour if you can. Whilst not related to the hotel, we arranged through an external company to take a helicopter ride to the underwater waterfall near the south of the island. A once in a lifetime experience and due to the nature of being able to travel around the island fairly easily, we were able to have this experience and still be back at our hotel by mid-afternoon. I can’t speak highly enough of our time at Paradise Cove. Thank you for making our honeymoon incredible special. Read less

Sookah the friendly porter showed us that the mat doesn’t fit so the luggage gets dragged along the very sharp metal edges causing irreparable damage. A special thank you to Lolita from Guest Relations for her professionalism and helpfulness, Chef Vicky for the amazing Japanese meal at XO Restaurant, and Nitish for his kindness and warm hospitality.
