The first island you’ll hit as you drive through the keys is Key Largo, most famous for it’s watersports with reef snorkelling, diving, and glass bottom boat tours out of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park as must-do activities. Neighbouring the state park you’ll find Playa Largo set on 14.5 acres of secluded shoreline, providing your own piece of paradise to stay whilst exploring this part of Florida’s famous archipalageo. The private beach is the only thing between you and the sparkling waters of Florida Bay, where you can enjoy a range of watersports right from the hotel as well as venturing out to nearby attractions (of which there are plenty). There is a laid-back feel to the resort, perfectly in keeping with the area, but that doesn’t stop the facilities and service being up to standard. From a beach shack restaurant to a ceviche bar, all tastebuds are catered for, La Marea is a particularly great choice for locally sourced seafood and freshly handmade artisan breads and pizzas. When you’re seeking serenity after all the activity, book in at Ocean Spa where you can try specially formulated scrubs using coffee grounds, sugar, and salt. The top class service doesn’t end when you get to your room, an iPad is on hand to offer on-demand services to ensure your stay is up to scratch.

Wedding for good friends.

We stayed at the resort for our friends wedding. The wedding was beautiful, the staff was attentive and friendly. The resort was well maintained, many areas to relax(pool /beach) and the food was very good.

I’ve stayed over 800+ nights with Marriott properties, and Playa Largo easily ranks in my top five experiences of all time. From the very first interaction to the moment I checked out, the staff here was best in class. They were genuinely friendly, consistently helpful, and always quick to respond. More importantly, they went out of their way to make my stay truly memorable.
Among an already outstanding team, four individuals stood out: Ricardo, Jollina, and Manuel, who set the standard for service across the property, and Megan in the spa, whose skill and attentiveness ensured the best experience possible. She and her team delivered a level of care and professionalism that elevated the entire stay.
Between the beautiful location, the incredible staff, and the unforgettable experience, Playa Largo is a resort I would highly recommend to anyone heading down to the Keys.

A very well run property. The thing that stood out for me was the staff was super friendly and competent. They were are really very nice and bent over backwards for. Jean and Taylor at the outside bar were some of the best servers of any hotel I have stayed. Kadesha & Jacqueline were equally as great in the Titanium lounge for breakfast. There were others too who were extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint was how long it took to get hot water (Reef building). Otherwise it was a great stay and would recommend to others

Great breakfast service
Oct 5, 2025jeitaroPortland., Oregon
The best part of the trip was the staff - particularly Jacqueline and Kedisha, how wonderful it was to start the morning being cared for so warmly.
It would be great if the rest of the hotel service was at their level.
5 star service

Jaqueline and Kedisha were outstanding! They provided by far, the best service we received while at the resort. Every morning they went out of their way to accommodate any requests and made sure we were taken care of.
Just wish the service at the rest of the resort was at their level!
