The resort features 115 villas, all featuring a king size bed, separate day bed, air conditioning, and a range of luxury amenities. These include a private plunge pool, sun loungers on the private decks, direct access to lagoon or beach, mini-bar*, tea/coffee-making facilities, flat screen TV, mood lighting, soaking bathtub and shower with disco ball, flat-screen TV, custom bath amenities, comfy bathrobes, WiFi, and an activity wall.
Lagoon Overwater Pool Villa’s offer direct water access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.
Board basis options
Premium All-Inclusive: breakfast is served at Kula Restaurant, lunch is served at Kula Restaurant, Joos café, and Todis; and dinner is served at Kula Restaurant, Guduguda, BBQ Shak, Beru Bar (IZAKAYA), and Joos Café. At speciality restaurants – pre booking required.
Free-flowing champagne, over 50 premium wines, prosecco and sparkling wines. Premium brand spirits, beer, liquer and unlimited cocktails and mocktails. Various juices, soft drinks, mineral water and selection of tea/coffee. Mini-bar will be replenished once daily with two wines, two bottles of spirits of choice, 4 beers, soft drinks and water will be included. A bottle of sparkling wine will be included on arrival.

Lagoon Beach Pool Villas offer 137 sqm of living space with a king-sized bed, a separate daybed, a private deck with sun loungers and a plunge pool, an open-air bathroom with a giant bathtub, double vanity sinks and stellar views of the white sand beach. Sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.
Ocean Beach Pool Villas have gorgeous views of the white sand beach and ocean, with direct beach access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

We had the most wonderful holiday at The Standard and most of that is down to the incredible staff team. Special mentions and HUGE thank you to:
- our host Eva, for looking after us throughout our whole stay, being super responsive and catering to our every need, always with a huge smile on her face
- chef Nanda, for ensuring we had the most delicious vegan food to eat for the entirety of our stay. We never went hungry and were so grateful to have a bespoke menu created for us most meal times. Having someone who understands our food requirements is often a challenge when we go on holiday but here we were in the best hands possible. We enjoyed every single thing we ate
- all of the breakfast staff, who doted on our baby daughter and entertained her whilst we ate our breakfast. She loved all of them and misses her new friends so much!
- Sai and Anoa at the bar, who provided us with delicious drinks and conversation. They were always pleased to see us and made us feel so welcome.
Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel at home in the Maldives and this made our stay one of the best holidays we have ever been on.
In addition to being incredibly looked after, we also did the best snorkelling we’ve ever done - seeing turtles, sharks, an octopus, rays and even a small pod of dolphins just off from our overwater bungalow. We honestly had the best time and would love to come back one day. The only thing that would maybe stop us is the fact that the hotel seems to be getting more commercial… one of the sales team told us that the overwater villas will be getting slides which seems a shame, plus the authentic Maldivian restaurant GudaGuda (which we had two DELIGHTFUL meals at) is going to close which is also disappointing. Hopefully this doesn’t affect the overall charm of the island - it’s already perfect as it is!!!

I would especially like to thank Youssef, Poula, Shengi, and Shak for their exceptional hospitality and attention throughout my stay. A special mention to Poula, who even visited me several times while being unwell himself — something I truly appreciated and will never forget.
The resort itself is outstanding: beautiful villas, amazing food, a relaxed atmosphere, and service at the highest level. What I also really appreciate is that this is a wonderful place for solo travelers like me. I always felt comfortable, cared for, and completely at home.
