We had such an amazing stay at The Standard Maldives, it’s one of those places that’s just fun from start to finish 🌴✨ The snorkelling was honestly incredible, some of the best we’ve experienced in the Maldives. There’s so much marine life right off the island, you can easily spend hours in the water. One of the biggest highlights was the manta ray tour such a surreal experience and 100% worth doing if you get the chance. The spa experience was another standout the massage was absolutely amazing, super relaxing and exactly what you want when you’re in paradise. What really made the trip though was the staff. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, but a few people truly stood out: Eva, our main host, was incredible from the moment we arrived so helpful, organised and genuinely caring. Shakhawat at Onda was hands down the best server always attentive, friendly and made every meal feel special. Billial at Todis kept the drinks coming and always with a smile 🍹 Hemsa makes the best cocktails on the island! And Shingi, you are such a live light, she manages Onda, was amazing and clearly runs things so smoothly. When it comes to food, Onda and the BBQ Shack were definitely our favourites consistently delicious and great atmosphere at both. One thing to note — it’s veryyyyy family-friendly. There are lots of kids, which is great if that’s what you’re after. But if you’re coming for a romantic honeymoon-style escape, it might not be the perfect fit. Overall, The Standard is such a fun, vibrant resort with a great mix of activities, amazing staff, and beautiful surroundings. We had the best time and would absolutely recommend it if you’re looking for a more social, energetic Maldives experience 💙 Read less

We chose The Standard Maldives for our honeymoon and it exceeded every expectation. From the airport pickup, to the seaplane, to arriving by boat at the dock… every moment of getting there felt like part of the experience. The food was next level. We ate at every restaurant and not one disappointed. Onda was the standout! the chef’s special was mesmerising, so fresh and beautifully considered. The server Shaak across Onda, BBQ Shak, and beyond was phenomenal, he remembered exactly what we liked every time, which made every meal feel personal. The grilled prawns and beef at BBQ Shak were cooked to perfection. Hassan and Doris at the buffet were both just lovely. The whole dining team, led by Sai, was exceptional. Our room was stunning and housekeeping even mopped the floors each night - such a thoughtful touch that kept everything fresh and cool. Our host Youssef was an absolute gem - so responsive and helpful with organising trips, spa bookings, and everything in between. The spa team including Yuni, and yoga teacher Ashook, were brilliant. Bar staff Inaz and Neha made me the best piña colada of my life. We also loved Schingy, Aarrack, Roshan, Naheem, and Yugeh — every single interaction was warm and fun. (We’ve done our best with everyone’s names but spellings may be off — you know who you are, and we hope you do! 💛) The turtle snorkelling with the captain (so I call him) was pure joy. The staff here don’t just do their jobs….they make you feel like you matter. Already scheming a return to see the mantas next time 😉🌊🐠 Read less

When you landed by the resort it looked awesome. Well designed, nice arrangements of all facilities, charming spacious and clean villas. Just great! What can be definitely underlined is the international staff: all of these marvelous persons – coming from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, India, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe – are like one great family exceptionally ready to assist you. Or let’s say: 99% of them…. Food is delicious, drinks in large selection, everything seems great. Unfortunately not everything. Although we stayed as “all inclusive” option each time we get a bill to sign (bill was signing the value of consumed goods, the value to charge us was indicated as zero). At the beginning was OK, but when I signa bill I prefer to check, so after a week I was really bored with signing the bills…. “All inclusive” option for me means “all inclusive”. However not everything was included and the difference in package was not clearly explained to us. As result of natural misunderstanding we were charged additional fee which we could avoid once the staff was keen enough to say everything clear. The problem was not clarified, we did not hear a word of sorry. At the beginning we were so enthusiastic that we planned another arrival and we requested a firm quotation. To our surprise we have not got it…. So, we prefer to go to another resort at our next visit to Maldives….. Read less
