What made the trip even more memorable, though, was the staff and the exceptional service we received throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Tayan at the coffee shop and Kimono, the pastry chef, for their warm hospitality and wonderful service. They truly added a personal touch to our vacation. We would also like to thank Tristion, the bellhop/driver, Ashar, the main buffet supervisor, and Omar at the Cricket restaurant for always being friendly, attentive, and professional. The only disappointing experience during our stay was at the Beach Side Grill near the entrance of the resort. The cook working on Mother’s Day was extremely loud and rude. We completely understand that operational challenges can happen, especially during busy periods, but her behavior unfortunately escalated the situation rather than helping resolve it. On a positive note, the young server there handled the situation very well, remained professional, and did her best to assist us. Despite that one experience, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciate all the hardworking staff who made our trip special. We would definitely return. Read less

Rooms are spotless and the mini shampoo's etc are fantastic. Daily entertainment was initially sketchy, pool towels not available but asking speaking to Marina (General Manager) these were all resolved (on the following day). Lots of new staff but Andre and Theo were still standout (remembered them from last year). Pink Party on the beach was outstanding and is highly recommended (part of the evening entertainment). Get your drinks in early as they did run out of Rum! Tranquility Suite We had a couples massage at $320 (USD) for 1 hour, it was pricey but good. Read less

The Verandah Resort is a large beautiful property. The rooms are spacious and nice. Nicole’s Restaurant was very good and worth the upcharge. The best restaurant in the place is Portofinos Italian Restaurant. The manager of this restaurant, I believe her name is Lucy, is exceptional. All the golf cart drivers were very friendly. However, there is staff that are not so friendly. The woman in the coffee shop could be more friendly and don’t show up a minute before it opens at 7 (even though the schedule in the room says it opens at 6:30). The pizza place has great pizza but the woman who was working when we were there was not so friendly. Also, the 8 cut pizza comes on a plate and they have no smaller plates so you can share the pizza. The first time I used a napkin and the second time they ran out of napkins and she had to call for more so we didn’t have any. I would think you can tell when you are running out. Even though they advertise robes in all rooms we had none. Finally got robes after asking for the fifth time. Still a nice place to stay, just some staff need some lessons on how to be more friendly to people who tip on good service. Read less

It is always nice to come back and see familiar faces. These are some of the people that really make you feel welcome: Theodore, Leon, Kelly Ann, Renado, Tristan, Shawn, Ashley, and Captain D. We did the Mystic Land and Sea Excursion. Tiffany was our land guide, she was fun and engaging. The guys who worked on the Mystic Catamaran were wonderful and entertaining. The food was excellent on the Catamaran. The Verandah is very clean. We plan on returning again. I have two areas I think could be improved. The first one is that some of the staff working at the Verandah could be more friendly and make you feel welcome. The second one is to put some fresh paint and new handles on some of the bathrooms such as, the bathroom by the pool, the bathroom at Sails and Tales. Read less
