Where is it

In the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 30 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Perfect for couples, Over Water Villas feature an overwater living area with daybed, seating area, sun beds and hammocks. They also have a full indoor bathroom with bath tub overlooking the lagoon and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Half Board option: includes breakfast at Amaany, dinner at all operating and available restaurants including Amaany, Onu, Lagoon Bar, Isoletta, Vakku - 3-courses per person from à la carte menu or buffet when available.

Full Board option: includes breakfast at Amaany. Lunch is included from the à la carte menu at Lagoon Bar and Isoletta. Dinner at all operating and available restaurants including Amaany, Onu, Lagoon Bar, Isoletta, Vakku - 3 courses per person from à la carte menu or buffet when available.

Beach Pool Villas have an outdoor living area with day bed, separate reading and relaxation area, full indoor bathroom with direct pool access, outdoor shower and an ensuite washroom. Sleeping maximum 2 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child.

Overwater Pool Villas have an overwater living area with daybed, seating area and sun beds, separate reading and relaxation area, indoor and outdoor shower, and full indoor bathroom overlooking the lagoon. Sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Beach Family Pool Villas features a separate children sleeping area and a daybed in the parents bedroom, sleeping maximum 2 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Residences - One Bedroom and One Bedroom Deluxe Beach Pool Residences feature a separate indoor living room, lavish outdoor living area and private pool, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

One Bedroom Over Water Pool Residence are enhanced with the addition of a private infinity pool, separate living room and ample space for rest and relaxation. Sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Our experience started at Male airport where the lounge staff put our luggage on the seaplane and helped us on board. The flight was smooth and amazing scenically and when we arrived at Vakkaru jetty we were met by many welcoming members of staff with a drink of fresh coconut juice whilst our luggage was whisked to our rooms. Our experience started at Male airport where the lounge staff put our luggage on the seaplane and helped us on board. The flight was smooth and amazing scenically and when we arrived at Vakkaru jetty we were met by many welcoming members of staff with a drink of fresh coconut juice whilst our luggage was whisked to our rooms. Our overwater villas were well designed and furnished and set over the beautiful lagoon. The staff here are exceptional…..obviously well trained and experienced ….and greeted us all by name, especially in the fabulous restaurants. Each restaurant was unique with top quality ingredients and menus and service was excellent. Vakkaru is a haven of tranquility……but I should mention that our only complaint was that renovation noise to a nearby villa disturbed our afternoons chilling on our deck. This issue was swiftly dealt with by staff as you would expect. The island itself is lush and unspoilt…there are no cars but only our own bikes and buggies. You can be as active as you wish or as relaxed as you wish but the overall ambience is of total luxury and calm. Even our return journey by seaplane was seamless……again our luggage miraculously arrived at our check in desk! This is a very special Maldivian island and highly recommended to revisit. Read less

The service ist outstanding and all the team are really dedicated and lovely. The Spa is great. Massages are outstanding. There's even a small Sauna on the sea. The restaurants their food and their settingsare really good… Read more

And for us one of the best features is the Kids Club, a child care where children from 3 years on can go and play with others. The scenery is very beautiful. The restaurants here are good and there are many options to choose from. It's a relaxing vacation with plenty of activities. Unfortunately, we weren't lucky enough to see the manta rays.

Amazing experience, it was a much needed weekend getaway. I was able to just immerse myself in the experience of this beautiful island and amazing beach and the animals in it. Staff were really accommodating and friendly they made the experience even better 💕
