We recently got married at Amari Koh Samui, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Organising a wedding overseas could have been stressful, but the wonderful team at Amari made everything so easy - even from the very beginning of planning back home. Every email, every detail, and every question was handled so professionally and kindly, which made the whole process completely effortless. When we arrived, everything was even more beautiful than we imagined. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, and their warmth and care truly made us feel special. We were able to completely relax and enjoy every moment — both our wedding day and our stay Big shoutout to Nanthawan for your amazing service ❤️ Read less

Supposedly a 5-star hotel, but in reality – far from it: The hotel is divided in two, with a road running through the middle between the rooms and the main pool and beach – extremely inconvenient when you’re with a stroller and a baby. It doesn't say anywhere that the hotel crosses a road, you phrased it as the hotel being divided into 2, that's not the same. We got an old room that looked nothing like the photos on Booking. We were placed on the upper floor, even though we specifically asked for a ground-floor room because of the stroller. When they finally moved us to the ground floor, we had to wait over two hours for the room to be ready. Service was almost nonexistent – very few staff members and a general feeling of abandonment. The food was mediocre, and the beach was deserted. Maybe the only good thing was that it’s close to the central Chaweng area – but that’s about it. The hotel has buggy ride to help moving the laggeges to the room and back, as I mentioned, there were almost no staff members, so the ride to the rooms area (witch was very far) was very slow, and when we decided to leave the hotel we waited for a staff member to bring us our luggage from the room about 20 minutes!! Very, very dissatisfied, no matter how the hotel phrase it to sound good to tourists. We hoped to get refaund or half of it because we didn't stay even one night, and they refused. This left us with a really bad taste in the Amari hotel, especially since the same thing happened to our friends who were staying at another hotel and they were given a full refund, even for the night they stayed. I would love to give this hotel a 5 star review but we did have an issue that was very professionally dealt with and resolved by Kathleen, so I will just deal with the positives. We are seasoned Amari guests, very loyal to this brand and have stayed at many of their properties. The staff here have that unique Amari hospitality. They really were a friendly, smiley bunch working as a team. There is a very nice Spa here and we enjoyed some promotions at very sensible prices. Thank you K.Pla. Breakfasts are very good and cater for all. We enjoyed the Sunday fire show dinner on the beach. Across the road is a Prego which I will review separately but is highly recommended and deserves it's own review. One very nice thing here is the laundry service offered, I think because the hotel has it's own onsite laundry. You can fill a bag of laundry after breakfast and it is freshly laundered and returned to your room later that day for just 600 Thb. Read less

The hotel's location is perfect for those looking to be close to the interesting places but avoid all the hustle and bustle and noise that comes with it. The hotel's service is really high-level. Each member of the staff does their job professionally and courteously and always with a smile. The food at the hotel is 5-star. The Italian restaurant Pergo is stunning and the food there is amazing and delicious. I would like to commend the staff who took care of us at the crossing, who were exceptionally kind, nice and professional - rain or shine, no matter what the weather conditions, they will always be there and help you cross the road safely. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool, also on the beach. Breakfast was out of this world (4 courses I had) no that's not me being greedy . There was such a vast variety . I just had to have a little try of almost everything. Eggs to order, fried poached and omelette. Lunch and dinner menu was lovely too. Loves that the waiter came round the beds to take your drinks order. That's what holiday is all about . Relaxing and having fun. We stayed across the road. Yes at first I thought this was going to be a problem. Not at all didn't even notice to be honest . There is 2 pools on this side . I thought we would miss all the action being over the road . Not really , this pool was quiet and relaxing. The chill pool id say and we enjoyed it a few times. There was also someone there with a drinks cart (drinks on ice) So no problem if you was thirsty. Our room was lovely . A little seating area outside too. Tea coffee and 2 bottles of water free each day. Everything you need was there including, safe, iron and ironing board. Would I stay again . Without a doubt . Read less
