The girls at the kids’ club speak Russian, and our personal host took care of all our questions throughout the stay, such as restaurant reservations, booking activities, and calling a buggy. The food is excellent — the buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, and in the morning you can use the juicer to make your own fresh fruit juices. At the Skipjack restaurant, there’s a great selection of seafood, and everything is delicious. The hotel is located in a nature reserve — you can start snorkeling on the reef right from your room. Generally, we prefer to try new places, but this is one hotel we’d love to return to. Read less

From the moment we arrived at Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort, we knew this would be a truly unforgettable experience. The first thing that stood out to us was how lush and natural the island feels. Avani+ Fares has managed to preserve a beautiful tropical atmosphere with dense greenery, swaying palms, soft white sand, and stunning turquoise water in every direction. Walking around the island felt peaceful and immersive, and the landscaping is exceptionally well maintained. The whole resort strikes the perfect balance between luxury and nature. The lagoon is absolutely breathtaking — calm, crystal clear, and ideal for swimming at any time of day. Whether it was sunrise walks on the beach, snorkeling straight from the villa, or simply sitting and watching the colors change at sunset, every part of the island felt postcard-perfect. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the incredible hospitality from the team. A very special thank you to Aus, our Haharu Host, who made our stay completely effortless from beginning to end. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was handled with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. It’s rare to meet someone who can anticipate what you need before you even ask, but Aus consistently did exactly that and made us feel genuinely looked after throughout our stay. Leesh, another Haharu Host, also deserves special recognition for her wonderful recommendations and thoughtful guidance during our time on the island. In fact, the island itself was recommended by her, and we’re so grateful it was. She was always discreetly available whenever we needed assistance or suggestions, and her warmth and professionalism truly stood out. Resorts need more staff members like Leesh, who genuinely make a difference in the guest experience. The food was another major highlight of the trip. Chef Richard and his entire culinary team were exceptional. Every restaurant offered something unique, and the quality was consistently outstanding throughout our stay. From fresh seafood and perfectly prepared local dishes to international cuisine and incredible desserts, every meal felt carefully crafted and memorable. The breakfast spread in particular was one of the best we’ve experienced anywhere — extensive, fresh, and beautifully presented every single morning. Avani+ Fares manages to combine luxury, natural beauty, fantastic dining, and heartfelt hospitality in a way that feels effortless. It’s the kind of place where you arrive planning to relax for a few days and leave already thinking about when you can come back. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our stay so special. ❤️🌴 Read less

We had booked a last minute family holiday in Maldives after our initial holiday in UAE was cancelled and it we were just so lucky to have found Avani. It definitely exceeded our expectations. We have stayed at multiple Anantara resorts from the same chain but never at an Avani and we were so impressed. The resort runs very smoothly, the entire staff, from the concierge, the cleaning staff, the pool boys and restaurant staff are all genuinely nice people that could not do enough for you, but in a real genuine way, not forced. The man manning the fruit section in the buffet from dawn to dusk was always so nice to my son, my boy referred to him as my friend. We stayed for 9 nights and we never had a request or a problem that was not solved with a smile. In terms of food, we have no complains, I can only imagine how logistically complex it must be to have everything delivered to the island by planes or boats but it never felt like a struggle. The breakfast buffet was nice, could always find space and the fresh eggs and fruits were great. My only suggestion would be to add some more coldcuts of meat or fish(unsmoked) and to have a look at the ventilation from the live cooking station. The buffet dinners we went to (easter celebration, surf and turf and Asian ) were super good, the fresh tuna is to die for and the grilled prawns and langoustine were amazing. Our favorite evening restaurant was Skipjack, next to the pool. We were half board and the menu there was extensive and everyone in our large group could find something delicious to try, especially the tuna, the pizza and the cinnamon icecream. The restaurant manager (sorry I am really terrible with names ) was amazing and organised 2 beautiful dinners for my daughter’s 1st birthday and my husband’s birthday. We appreciated that so much and they will be memories we will cherish forever. We tried the Charcoal restaurant as well but for half board the menu consists of 2 starters and 4 mains and nothing really stood out. The restaurant set up looked great but the menu for HB was disappointing, maybe AI had different things but for our family it just did not make sense to upgrade to AI. The live band and the jazz player performing across the resort were really impressive, made for such a nice atmosphere. The location is absolutely gorgeous, the small island is a bit further away from Male but that turned out to be un advantage as the house reef is truly amazing. Initially we wanted to book a snorkeling excursion but we never grew tired of exploring the local shores. The best bit is in front of the RumShack, when you swim towards the edge of the reef, it’s an unbelievable underwater world, the best part of the trip according to my 7 year old son. Again, a memory we will cherish forever. We had booked 3 rooms, so in a villa we had 2 rooms up and 1 downstairs with beach access. The beach access rooms are amazing, so handy with little children to be able to take a shower outside or enter the room directly from the beach. We explored the island with all the other villas and overwater rooms but to me the beach access rooms are by far the best and what I would choose if I would go back. Our part of the beach was just gorgeous, with trees and greenery, little crabs and birds, plenty of natural shade, just a dream. In a nutshell, thank you to Umar, our concierge, and the entire team at Avani for an amazing holiday, we would love to come back and explore more of your wonderful country. Read less
