Where is it

On the western edge of the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 35 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

176 beach villas, over water villas, rooms and pavilions. All with air-conditioning and ceiling fan, flat screen smart TV, Bluetooth speaker system with alarm clock, coffee machine, reading light and in-room mood lighting, sofa bed, multi-functional bar counter with bar stools and safe.

Premium Ocean View Rooms enjoy upper-floor ocean views from a furnished balcony. With 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

This is an absolute must visit for both families and couples seeking something special. We stayed in the three-bedroom residence, and it felt like our own private paradise. From the breathtaking sunset views to the spacious pool and immaculate cleanliness, every detail was perfectly taken care of. The housekeeping team ensured our villa was spotless daily, and the staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There is something here for everyone. The resort offers an amazing variety of activities for both children and adults, so no one is ever bored. The beaches are stunning and plentiful, giving you plenty of options to explore. The resort even has their own hose reef which we snorkel almost everyday! We also loved the breakfast buffet as there are a great variety. The dinner options were equally impressive. There’s something for everyone. One of the highlights of our stay was given two electric bike that was delivered to our villa, which made exploring the island even more fun and convenient. A very special mention goes to our host, Aanim. He was exceptional in every way. Calm, kind, and incredibly efficient, he made everything possible for us. Every request we had was handled immediately, and he went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and unforgettable. Every message was answered at any given time. If you have the option to request a host, we cannot recommend Aanim enough. He truly made our holiday even more special. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a single thing. What an unforgettable stay at Avani+ Maldives / Fares..,island we absolutely fell in love with! It’s impossible to name you all, but each of you made us feel like family. We’re already counting down the days until we return to Baa Atoll. Every corner of the resort made us smile — the beautiful rooms, the attentive housekeeping team, the restaurants, the kids club, and the teens lounge. Wherever we went, we were welcomed with warmth and joy..,Leaving was emotional, to say the least. This was my second time in Avani Fares. This time I stayed in an overwater villa and had such a lovely, memorable time with my husband and little son. The room was clean, super comfortable, and the amenities were really well thought out, it honestly felt like they had everything we needed. The beach was beautiful, and the turquoise water was just mesmerizing, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Food was amazing throughout our stay. We really liked that the buffet had a dedicated kids’ section, and the à la carte also had a separate kids’ menu. It made things so much easier for us since we were travelling with our 16 month old son. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. One of the most special moments for us was during the football camp happening at the resort. We asked last minute if it was possible to get a jersey for our son, and not only did they arrange it, but it was also signed by Michael Owen. Such a thoughtful surprise, we truly can’t thank the team enough! Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily come back again. 😊 Read less
