Where is it

A short boat ride from Phuket's east coast, in sheltered waters overlooking Phang Nga Bay. Phuket Town is 30 minutes away by road and boat. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 50 minutes.

Hotel information

116 suites, as well as the highly recommended 120 villas with private pools. All with air-conditioning, patio/balcony, complimentary WiFi access, fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, flat-screen satellite TV, bath robes and slippers, safe, and bathroom amenities. Deluxe Suites are located in the quiet gardens towards the back of the resort, a short distance away from the main reception area, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 people.

All Inclusive package includes (11:00am–11:00pm daily):

Outdoor Jacuzzi Suites are close to the Deluxe Suites with an open plan interior and outdoor decked terrace with jacuzzi, sleeping maximum 3 people.

All villas have a spacious open plan living area and and kitchen, a private terrace overlooking the gardens with private pool, and master bedroom with either 1 king-size bed or twin beds. 1-Bedroom Garden View Pool Villas are in the centre of the resort on the hill, sleeping maximum 3 people. 1-Bedroom Sea View Pool Villas are similar and are in the same location but have high views across Phang Nga Bay.

Being our 4th visit to Coconut Island, I can’t recommend this resort highly enough. From the minute you arrive, you are made the feel welcome. The service is exceptional and I strongly suggest getting the all inclusive package. The food and beverages were phenomenal.

Everything from the time of landing was smooth. A company was recommended for pick up at the airport. The boat dock reception had all our information and took care of our luggage while we waited for the boat. The boat staff were very informative. Reception process was perfect (and included refreshments, cool cloths and a buggy ride to our room). The all inclusive was well it worth it and being able to enjoy authentic Thai food onsite was extra special! The excursions were easy to book and we felt taken care from beginning to end. The facilities were amazing and would have also served the purpose of a family vacation. Very kid friendly with lots for them to do but also offers adult only selections. Recommendations from the staff regarding things to do were great! The check process was also easy and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this for any type of vacation… friend trip, couples trip or family trip!!! Read less

Wow, where to start with this resort!? We were absolutely blown away by Barceló Coconut Island. Firstly, the highlight is definitely the staff! Every single person we would encounter would greet us, and made us feel welcome. As well as being friendly, everyone was equally as efficient. The resort was hit by a severe storm on our second night, and the island lost all power (and subsequently, running water)… however, the staff handled this very well, and the next morning, the breakfast buffet was still available!? The resort itself is a paradise. Lush green gardens surround every pathway, the beach is lovely and clean, and the various pools are very inviting (especially the “adults only” pool in the evening. The Pina coladas at Laku are a MUST)! Everything right down to the selection of music in different areas had been careful considered. The food is delicious. The breakfast buffet has more options than anyone could ever need, and we also enjoyed pizza and pasta! We’d like to thank all the staff at barcelo Coconut Island for making our stay there so wonderful, with special mentions to Ted (has got some great stories), Kim from Laku, and our biggest and most gracious “thank you” to Na from Kabang, who always seemed to look after us, even when we weren’t eating! Excellent staff very accomodating and pleasant. Faculties perfect for relaxation pools food and drinks always available. Entertainment also of high standards would recommend for families
