Wow, what a trip! we stayed at the Hammock Cove resort on our honeymoon in March of 2026 for 5 days. The resort was just as advertized- beautiful grounds, gourgeous rooms and good service. Wow, what a trip! we stayed at the Hammock Cove resort on our honeymoon in March of 2026 for 5 days. The resort was just as advertized- beautiful grounds, gourgeous rooms and good service. Each of the suites is large and private and you are assigned your very own "ambassator" that you can call on the cell phone they give you. They have a spa on site with great treatments as well. It is a quiet place and if you want to lay on a private beach and order drinks all day this is the place for you. If you want more action or activities, you will have to venture off the property-which we did many days. Also, even though the food was good, there weren't many options or snacks between meals (no big deal). A special shout out to the conceirge, Tracy and the pool side waiter Julio - both were excellent! Read less

Hammock Cove is amazing! The food is excellent! The villas are spacious and the outdoor space including the pool was a perfect spot to relax. The service is top notch. Drinks and activities at lunch at the beach like a seafood grill and raw oysters were an added plus. We’d love to go back and bring our adult children.

I won a 5 night stay here by donating to a raffle for Antigua Donkey Sanctuary (I highly recommend a visit there to see the donkeys!). I was so grateful to enjoy this incredible luck and brought a friend along with me. The resort overall was truly excellent in so many ways. We had a safety issue that rattled me which is why I had to give 4 stars instead of 5. The bed was very comfy, room was spacious and overall excellent, and the resort generally was very clean (the only exception being throw pillows in our room which desperately need a wash). I was surprised though that there is no hot tub/jacuzzi onsite whatsoever. We were able to borrow yoga mats from the gym, and we did a yoga class with "J" one morning which was really nice. I had a massage from Marilyn which was worth every penny. We loved checking out the birds, wildlife (and a couple of resident cats), and wandering over to the neighboring Veranda resort (same owner) and Devil's Bridge. The staff were completely wonderful, friendly, helpful, patient, and kind. My friend and I are vegan and vegetarian and I was worried about food options but they were so accommodating and the food was delicious. We had plenty of choices and I'm still dreaming about that homemade hummus. The guests were mainly a mix of older couples and newlyweds, and clearly this place is made for couples. But at least we were not the only non-couple group there. The beach is small but lovely, with clear water, although I did see jellyfish in the water in the afternoons. The water at Veranda was much murkier but the beach chairs sit beneath palm trees there. We went on a bird watching tour with Almond Peters of Pelican Safari which was phenomenal, definitely check him out for historical or birding tours! The only real downside was a safety issue with the doors, which do not have deadbolts - I would not recommend this place for women traveling alone or with girl friends. One day while my friend was out, I was by the private pool outside of our room, and one of the ambassadors walked straight in without knocking. I was on the phone chatting so I'm surprised he didn't hear me and when I asked him to knock next time he didn't apologize or seem to care. He had thought I was out with my friend, so it was a misunderstanding, but they really need to add deadbolts! I see that this has been an issue for a while and that this happened to someone else based on previous reviews. Luckily I was clothed when he came in, but it still unnerved me and I had trouble sleeping after that. I spoke to the manager and she reminded the staff that they have to knock even if they think a guest is out. I can't imagine why any person would need that kind of reminder. The very idea that the staff have a key to your room (other than housekeeping), seems like a recipe for disaster. There were also workmen who walked right next to our "private" pool, and while they were perfectly friendly, that was also a bit of surprise. Other things to consider: The window above the toilet could use a shade. It feels like you're in a fish bowl at night when anyone could peer in. At least three tourists have drowned at Devil's Bridge in recent years (google it), so I was surprised there is no warning, signage or fencing. The road in to the hotel is long and so bumpy and needs to be smoothed a bit. That said, we booked a transfer through the hotel and our driver was great. Read less

We had a enjoyable time at Hammock Cove. The resort was well maintained. Our villa was clean and spacious. I really liked having the plunge pool. The staff was so attentive. Our ambassadors Matara and Javhonne made sure our villas was stocked with our favorite beverages and our breakfast . The beach area was on the smaller side but everyone had a lounge chair. The beach staff (Mark, Joshua and Osayhba) were super attentive, taking drink and lunch orders and helping equip us with the SUP boards, kayaks or the Hobie Cat. The resort had three main restaurants that were available for dinner. The menu changed often and the staff was so kind and efficient. Camara and Feb remembered my food allergies and adapted my order to make sure that I didn't eat something I shouldn't. Lucinda was present in the restaurants every night connecting t=with the guests. The grounds were well maintained. We will plan another visit. Read less
