We spent a wonderful, relaxing week at Hammock Cove in March. It was only a 35 minute transfer from the airport & on arrival we were quickly greeted with a refreshing drink, met our ambassador Javier & were whisked away to our villa. The waterfront villa was spacious with a wonderful uninterupted view of the ocean (room 37) & a refreshing breeze so we could spend time happily relaxing on the terrace. The bed was really comfortable & although the airconditioning unit was noisy at high speeds & not too efficient at low speeds, the ceiling fan kept our room at a pleasant temperature. This is a small, intimate & quiet resort where all the staff were really friendly & helpful. They really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. A big thank you to Jahson who topped up our mini bar every day but also went above & beyond to make sure we had the teabags we requested, although that wasn`t part of his remit. Evanne & Danielle were our housekeepers & always greeted us with a smile while keeping our room impecibly clean. Javier was always available to help with any requests with a smile & a special mention to Desa at The Lighthouse restaurant who made sure we had the wine we enjoyed. We particularly enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu & Sushi night. We spoke to Lucinda every day as she was always checking with the guests to make sure we were having a lovely stay. It felt very personal. All the food was of a high standard but on a future visit we would mainly choose to eat at The Lighthouse restaurant. This is because the menu stays the same at the other two restaurants & lunch in particular became a bit tedious with no specials or variations available (even a different salad or wraps would be good for a change). The steak we had at Sir Rob`s was excellent but we didn`t want to keep repeating this. Also, just a small quibble, the only sparkling wine available in resort was Prosecco unless you wanted to purchase a whole bottle of French Champagne. It was unusual for a 5 star resort not to have alternatives as there are numerous good sparkling wines from other countries that are better, without the expense of French Champagne, but made in the same traditional way. We really enjoyed kayaking around the peaceful cove & although the beach area is small, there was always a free sunlounger should you need it. The massage I had with Marilyn was one of the best I have ever had. Definitely not to be missed ! This was our first visit to Antigua(we have been visiting the Carribean for over 30 years) & we had a fabulous week. If you are looking for a pampered, relaxing, quiet break that feels more personal than most resorts, this is the place for you. Thank you. We will be back ! Read less

One of the most luxurious, beautiful spots we have visited. The best feature is by far the staff !! Friendly, personable, willing to cater to your every request! Private villas. Not a hotel tower. The food and restaurant options are great. There’s usually one / two special activities on property each day. Cooking class, 7-course dinner, rum tasting etc. yoga, pickleball, spa on site. Grilled lunch and beach bar keep you sated on their small cove beach area. Read less

We met Lucinda who manages all food operations and found her to be amazing…she seemed to be everywhere making sure everything ran perfectly and everyone was well taken care of. She’s friendly and runs things with great results. At the beach we met servers Julio, Dorland, Mark and Osayaba who took great care of us, their service was excellent and were fun to interact with. The beach is an absolutely beautiful cove that never feels crowded and getting seating is never an issue. The ambassadors were helpful all along the way with requests , reservations or changes. Having a phone to reach them is a nice touch. Everyone we interacted with here was friendly and welcoming, I would definitely go back again. Read less

Javier, Lusinda, and Linda made our week in Antigua very special. It felt like they bent over backwards to make us comfortable and hope we see them again very soon.
