We stayed at the hotel from the 12th to the 19th of September. The location itself is fantastic and, under normal circumstances, this would have been an excellent place to stay. Unfortunately, our experience was badly affected by extensive construction work going on throughout the hotel. Before our trip, we were informed that work was being carried out, but we were reassured via email that both the beach and pools would be fully operational. Sadly, this was not the case. The beach was only partially open at best, half the space was usable for guests and hard to get a seat together. The main pool was completely under construction. The alternative pool provided was far too small for the number of guests and again not enough loungers, and we ended up using the walk pool, which was acceptable but far from ideal. What made matters worse was that the construction work continued late into the night, often past 11pm, and all day long, even on weekends. This made it extremely difficult to relax and enjoy the beach or pool areas. We raised our concerns with our tour operator upon returning home, but Hilton have refused to acknowledge our complaint, claiming the pools were operational and we should have complained at the hotel. We did mention it to staff, unsure what the could have been done as no chance the pool would have been finished because we complained. We also chose to stay at this hotel as it fitted best with our plans, so changing hotels would have been disruptive. I understand that renovations are sometimes necessary, but guests deserve to be told the real extent of the work before booking. From what I’ve seen, Hilton tends to give a generic response to feedback like this, so I’m not expecting much, but I hope they take these concerns seriously for future guests. Read less

A good old hotel. The rooms are certainly worn out, but generally okay. The location and, most importantly, its own beach! That's why we chose it. However, I left my cap (an expensive one) on the beach by the hotel and couldn't find it after swimming. I asked four different employees about it, and they only promised to look for it. Even though there are cameras, I asked them to check the recordings. But nobody cared. Keep that in mind. Read less

Food in the restaurant really good, plenty of choice for all cultures. I’d like to think I’ll be here again next year. Dubai is not a cheap holiday, but it is a good worthwhile experience and a good vacation. Definitely recommend the Hilton Dubai & Hilton The Walk, the latter has a sky lounge on the 35th floor, a great view in the evening. Read less
