I would like to recognise and commend the outstanding service provided by Callie Taylor front desk manager at Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach resort and spa in Honolulu, Hawaii. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel genuinely welcomed with her warm smile, professionalism, and positive attitude. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel valued and appreciated. Her dedication to creating an exceptional guest experience is evident in every interaction. What impressed us most was that when we returned three months after our previous visit, she remembered us and greeted us warmly. This personal touch made us feel special and truly demonstrated her commitment to hospitality and guest satisfaction. She creates a welcoming atmosphere, encourages guests to return, and represents the Hyatt brand with excellence. Employees like her are the reason guests choose to come back. This is the fourth time I stay at this hotel. Each time is better than the last. Everyone is polite, and curtious. It is family friendly. The beach is literally across the street, and there are many places to eat. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I have ever had. I look forward to staying here again.

I travel to the hotel periodically and usually have a good service. As a Globalists, I recently provided to a friend and her children Guest of Honors and points to stay at the hotel. I booked two adjoining rooms with the reservation call center using the Guest of Honors program. Both reservations identified the Guest of Honors program. My friend checked in and later after 8 pm she got a call from the front desk saying two rooms could not be under her name and something about needing another person to check in, and they couldn't help her out further. The next morning, I called reservations and straightened it out. It turned out both reservations identified the Guest of Honors program as being applied. However one of the reservations had an invalid code, so it caused the issue. It's amazing that internal problem like this becomes the guest's problem and concern. The front desk used the word to me and my friend separately that the reservation was "flagged" by the front desk manager. I have noticed at Hyatt properties that when the assistant front desk manager or front desk manager use the word "flagged" they are thinking some rule is being violated and thus this is third time I have noticed aggressive enforcement of a Globalist perk which later turned out to be resolvable. I pointed this out to the front desk person I spoke to on two occasions. I was told this is the policy and its always been the policy. As a consumer and as a business owner, I have a disdain when that argument is made. Just because its policy does not make it logical. The hotel is in the hospitality business and should needlessly worry its guests. Lastly, they still attempted to charge her for the perks that should have been non-revenue due to Globalists status, even though they told me they were going to waive it after the code was fixed.
