Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki had some challenges, but I want to be fair in saying that management ultimately resolved the issues and took care of us. Let me say up front that the view was amazing but our Ocean view room came with some challenges. First off there is a main road in front of the hotel which you can hear all night all morning. I was on the 11th floor but I could still hear people yelling talking which went into late hours of the night sometimes keeping me awake. I could even smell cigarette smoke. The room itself felt dated, especially the bathroom, which could really use modernization. We also had a concerning moment when our keys opened another guest’s room — clearly a coding error that needs attention. The in‑room coffee was also disappointing. A Keurig or fresh‑brew option would be much more fitting, especially in Hawaii where great coffee is everywhere. > Once we brought these issues to the team, they handled them professionally, and we appreciated the resolution. I’m sharing this so future guests know what to expect and so the property can continue improving. Read less

Terribly old and dilapidated hotel that’s in serious need of a remodel. Valet parking cost more than our rental car did ($80/night). All the furniture in my room was banged up, scuffed or damaged. Tv never worked. The carpet, colors, decor all feel old and outdated. I used points and cash to book and got a standard city view and still came out of… Read more

Tv never worked. The carpet, colors, decor all feel old and outdated. I used points and cash to book and got a standard city view and still came out of pocket $1k and don’t see the value in it one bit. I would never stay here or recommend it to anyone. The breakfast buffet is $50 and it’s average at best. Never again. Read less

Location really is smack in middle can walk majority of places. One thing to know is if you rent a car good luck parking is awful. We didn’t even end up leaving except for one day because they use there hotel garage for public parking and when we returned parking garage was full when called and asked where do I park they told me if it’s full it’s full there is nothing they can do, yet I was staying there and paid for my parking $65 a night that was very upsetting.
