This is probably one of the best resorts we have stayed at. The resort was clean, service was outstanding and friendly staff. We upgraded to the Paradise by Sirene and were very glad we did. I spoke with Tracy Tirrell and she made the upgrade seamless. Do not get me wrong, the resort is expensive, but worth every Penny. We were upgraded to a Suite, room 8006 and it was beautiful. Staff at the Adults only pool, Violetta, Jack and Yas were fantastic. Always greeting us with a smile and pleasant Hello. The workers at breakfast every am were great. I wish I knew all there names. Obviously the one staff member who stood out to us was Tracy Tirrell. She stayed in touch with us before we got there assuring us everything was taken care of....it was. Moreover, we had a late flight back and were having difficulties getting a later checkout. I emailed Tracy and in 10 minutes I received an email back that we were all set....THAT IS SERVICE! I would recommend this resort to anyone. Also, if you are going without children, upgrade to the Sirene...You will not be disappointed. Thank You JW Marriot! I know it has recently been sold, and I hope the new owners keep every single staff member that is currently there. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. They have an adults only pool and restaurant which met every need we had. We were upgraded to Suite 8006 and it was beautiful. It had a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room etc....it was big enough for 6. The balcony was huge and overlooked the kids pool and the gulf....gorgeous view. The resort is a little expensive, but it was worth every cent we paid. The pool staff of Violetta, Jack and Yas were fantastic every day. The staff at the breakfast buffet were great and always greeted us with a smile and good morning. One particular employee I have to mention is Tracy Tirrell. She was instrumental in upgrading us to the Sirene and when we had a little difficulty getting a 2pm checkout, I emailed her and 10 minutes later a received an email saying we were all set....Now that is service. We have been to many resorts throughout the Caribbean and she is by far the BEST EMPLOYEE we have ever encountered.....not taking away from the others at this resort. I would recommend the JW Marriot Marco Island to anyone. We will definitely make this a yearly vacation. I know it has just recently been purchased and I hope they keep every employee they have. Moreover, if you are there, ask about the ride service called the WAVE. They pick you up in golf carts and transfer you about the island. They are free rides and work on "tips". They gave us a tour around the island and it was awesome. Great people. STAY AT THIS RESORT YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!! Tom Napoli If you have any questions feel free to reach out. Read less

The Photo Concierge made scheduling really easy, and we loved Sharon! We've gotten so many compliments on her images already, and are so thankful to have images to remember this special time on Marco! We'll be dreaming of our beach chairs and an umbrella on the beach for years to come! Read less

Prior to our stay I received a call from the resort asking the age of the 2 people in the room and they wanted to put us in the adult only building. I was very transparent to say my daughter was only 15 and was not sure of their policy but the employee noted the account for the front desk to review before checking us in. Based on our stay the resort was completely booked so I suspect Marriott wanted to move us to the adult only section due to availability. Upon our check in- they put us in the adult only section. The front desk did not inform us that even being assigned a room in that building we could not use any of the amenities. We went to the pool and after an hour we were approached that we could stay for the rest of the day but could not return because of her age. This was truly embarrassing to be kicked out when I was transparent about her age- nor did I even book this section. I also want to stress she is extremely mature: meaning she was not acting like a child and being disruptive. We were removed due to the exclusivity of an upgrade I did not even request. We also needed to use the gym- and in fear of being kicked out of the gym in the adult facility I tried to get into the main building gym and my room key would not work. So I had no access to the gym. I did not even try to attempt the section dedicated on the beach out of fear of being embarrassed. I am a long time Marriot member and I have never been treated this way and for a nightly stay of almost $1200.00- how I was treated was truly disappointing. Why upgrade me then tell me I can't use any of the facility and tip toe around like I didn't belong. Super uncomfortable stay. I also contacted Marriot and the corporate office passed my complaint to the JW Marriot management. It's been over 3 weeks and nobody has addressed my concerns. I will never stay here again Read less
