In a secluded bay, overlooking a beach regarded as the most beautiful on Phuket, this is certainly an idyllic holiday choice. Soft golden sand to glide along, sunsets to admire, and, of course, beautiful accommodation, ranging from Junior Suites to those set back amongst trees and tropical flowers. Pampering pursuits include a full-service spa and a beauty salon, ensuring you look and feel your best. As well as lots of sports activities you can get involved in more cultural endeavours, take a Thai cooking class and learn how to carve those fancy fruit decorations or enjoy a workout whilst learning the art of Thai boxing. Hotel information

518 rooms and suites are spread throughout the Bhuri Wing and Thani Wing. The Bhuri Wing is home to the 183 Deluxe Rooms and has its own lobby and pools. The Thani Wing is situated along the beachfront and all suites are in this wing and face towards the ocean. All rooms and suites have air-conditioning, LCD TV, IDD telephone, mini-fridge*, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe and hairdryer.

Deluxe Rooms are located in the Bhuri Wing and have a private balcony overlooking the pool with 1 king-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Grand Deluxe Rooms are also located in the Bhuri Wing and are ideal for families. Rooms feature a large balcony or terrace and a sliding door to separate the bedrooms.

174 spacious Junior Suites are located in the Thani Wing and have balconies or a terrace with an ocean view, overlooking the swimming pools and gardens.

The Oceanfront Junior Suites are in the Thani Wing close to the beach and have sublime sea views.

Grand Suites are in the Thani Wing and are well appointed in the Ocean Building with separate living room and bathroom with luxurious oversized bathtub.

All suites have 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

The most fabulous resort! Faultless. The facilities, incredible breakfast, breathtaking views, we swam daily at the pool and the beach. We hope to return again soon. It was close enough to Patong without it being like Patong. My husband needed to visit the medical centre there and the registered nurse was excellent also.

The family wing is amazing! The room and facilities are well equipped and clean. I have recommended this vhari wing to all my colleagues with kids! This is how much I raved about the resort.

We keep returning to Katathani! The rooms are comfortable,spacious and very clean and the gardens and pool areas especially the adults only pool is our little piece of paradise.The staff are wonderful, always with huge, warm smiles and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back next year.

Katathani Phuket Beach Resort is a good option if you are looking for a more peaceful beach holiday in Phuket rather than a busy nightlife-focused trip. The resort has a classic tropical holiday feeling: palm trees, large pool areas, beachside views, open-air dining spaces, and plenty of quiet corners to relax. It is not the newest or most design-forward hotel, but that is also part of its charm. The atmosphere feels mature, spacious, and easy to settle into. One of the best parts for me was the pool area. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend half a day without feeling the need to go anywhere else. The beachside atmosphere is also lovely, especially in the evening when the sky turns blue and the lights come on around the restaurant and outdoor areas. Breakfast and dining spaces were comfortable, and the overall resort environment felt suitable for families, couples, and travelers who want to slow down. If your plan is to go to Patong every night, this location may not be the most convenient. But if you want a quieter beach stay, Kata Noi is a much better fit. A small note: the resort is quite large, so you may need to walk a bit between your room, the pool, restaurants, and the beach. For me, it was not a problem, but it is worth knowing before you book. We booked 9 nights through Luxury Escapes and stayed in the Bhuri Wing on the second floor. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were lovely—they even made towel animals for my daughter, which was a nice touch. The only downside was the lack of soundproofing, as we could hear footsteps and chairs moving from the room above due to the floorboards. The location is about 25 minutes from Patong/Jungceylon, so having the inclusive package was convenient. Breakfast and lunch were good, but dinner was the highlight—La Scala Italian restaurant was outstanding in both food and service. One suggestion: it would be great to have more enclosed, air‑conditioned dining areas for breakfast and lunch to avoid the heat, flies, and birds. The waterpark was fantastic for kids, with plenty of activities to keep them entertained. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and plan to return, though we’ll try a different wing next time. — Paul Bui Read less
