The hotel

In a secluded bay, overlooking a beach regarded as the most beautiful on Phuket, this is certainly an idyllic holiday choice. Hotel information

518 rooms and suites are spread throughout the Bhuri Wing and Thani Wing. The Bhuri Wing is home to the 183 Deluxe Rooms and has its own lobby and pools. The Thani Wing is situated along the beachfront and all suites are in this wing and face towards the ocean. All rooms and suites have air-conditioning, LCD TV, IDD telephone, mini-fridge*, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe and hairdryer.

Deluxe Rooms are located in the Bhuri Wing and have a private balcony overlooking the pool with 1 king-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Grand Deluxe Rooms are also located in the Bhuri Wing and are ideal for families. Rooms feature a large balcony or terrace and a sliding door to separate the bedrooms.

174 spacious Junior Suites are located in the Thani Wing and have balconies or a terrace with an ocean view, overlooking the swimming pools and gardens.

The Oceanfront Junior Suites are in the Thani Wing close to the beach and have sublime sea views.

Grand Suites are in the Thani Wing and are well appointed in the Ocean Building with separate living room and bathroom with luxurious oversized bathtub.

All suites have 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Stayed for 8 days in early April. We stayed in the grand deluxe room in the Bhuri wing, which was perfect in size and location. As for the rest of the resort, absolutely perfect! Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We came here for a friend's wedding and a family holiday - 2 adults, 1 child and an infant (3 years old). They have everything you could possibly need here and more. It is a resort where you can come to relax, enjoy the sun, enjoy a different culture, have fun and swim all day. If you wanted to stay in the resort the whole time, then you definitely could! You can also arrange tours easily as well as explore the city by yourself. The wedding itself was beautiful and enjoyed by all who attended. What a place to say I do! The photos are amazing and the memories unforgettable. The food served is delicious and there is food for all tastes. They have Thai dishes on the menu, too, which are a must-try. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone, from fruit, to baked beans, to chicken nuggets, pastries, noodles and stir fry, poached eggs and so on. It is an endless array of options. If you stay in Buri wing, you will enjoy the most beautiful view over Kata beach as you have breakfast, too! The rooms are comfortable and feel like home very quickly. We stayed in a grand deluxe room with 2 sleeping spaces, a bathroom with shower cubicle and bathtub (both spacious). There is a mini fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle, complementary water and ice, tea bags, sugar and sachets of coffee. We also spent time at Vhari wing, which is a must if you have kids. There are different pools with water park style areas, a deeper pool, a wave pool and more. The food is also more kid oriented for families with kids. There are lots of options for adults, but kids are definitely catered for here. We were here for both Easter Sunday and Songkran (Thai New Year) and both put on fun-filled activities for all the children. Songkran in particular is such a fun celebration with water guns being used not just by kids, but also staff! They all get in on the fun and it is so lovely to see them all playing along with the kids - water fights aplenty! If you have the chance to visit during Songkran, then I recommend you come then. The staff have been amazing - so helpful, kind and welcoming. Everyone has been so friendly to the kids and we have felt very at home here because of this. Any issues or questions were dealt with quickly and efficiently. I did a pilates class here, which was great. Friends have also had massages and manicures here, my children had their hair braided and everything has been very positive. The spa treatments and some activities are an extra cost, but there are plenty of free activities on Monday to Sunday (including pilates). I don't really have a bad word about anything. Our experience has been extremely positive. April is hot here and seems to be a great time to visit. A fantastic place for families. Katathani resort has a lovely feel, and everything you need! The food is all amazing! And staff are fabulous & polite. The grounds are kept immaculate and the rooms are of a good size, and with daily cleaning and fresh towels! You could just holiday at the resort and not leave it’s that good!
