518 rooms and suites are spread throughout the Bhuri Wing and Thani Wing. The Bhuri Wing is home to the 183 Deluxe Rooms and has its own lobby and pools. The Thani Wing is situated along the beachfront and all suites are in this wing and face towards the ocean. All rooms and suites have air-conditioning, LCD TV, IDD telephone, mini-fridge*, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe and hairdryer.
Deluxe Rooms are located in the Bhuri Wing and have a private balcony overlooking the pool with 1 king-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.
Grand Deluxe Rooms are also located in the Bhuri Wing and are ideal for families. Rooms feature a large balcony or terrace and a sliding door to separate the bedrooms.
174 spacious Junior Suites are located in the Thani Wing and have balconies or a terrace with an ocean view, overlooking the swimming pools and gardens.
The Oceanfront Junior Suites are in the Thani Wing close to the beach and have sublime sea views.

We stayed with the luxury escape full board package - the buffet dinner was okay, we didn’t enjoy the Italian night buffet though. There is Al La Carte credit options you just need to be smart about it! There is enough food options to eat at the hotel if you wanted to. Drinks are reasonable for a hotel. We loved the cove and their pizzas! La Scala is great for fancy dining.
As a family we are glad we were in the main part of the hotel not the Bhuri wing - this area is where the water park and kids club is and lots of people commented it was noisy and a bit far away from everything.
There is a new section for families opening in December, fully complete in April next year.
The staff and hotel were lovely! The resort is beautiful and the beach rivals our Aussie beaches! You can easily get a taxi/tuk tuk to wherever you want to go. There is plenty to do around without being in the middle of the busy kata beach.
We would definitely come back and consider the new wing!

I initially booked a room with a pool connection, not realizing it was in the kids’ area. As a couple traveling without children, this wasn’t ideal. My fault However if you are traveling with children it would be awesome the set up was fantastic
The staff was incredibly attentive, informing me that the adult wing was fully booked but promptly placing us on a waiting list. They managed to secure us two nights in the adult wing, which we gladly accepted, and it significantly elevated our experience.
We stayed in Room 1116, which I highly recommend. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered excellent privacy. The adult pool area was phenomenal—serene, well-maintained, and perfect for unwinding. That said, the adult wing could benefit from a bit more vibrancy, perhaps with additional activities or evening shows tailored specifically for adults.
The dining experience at Katathani Resort Phuket was another highlight. The all-you-can-eat buffet was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options. I particularly loved the concept of the chefs preparing fresh steak or fish dishes to order, adding a personalized touch. The themed cuisine nights at the buffet were also a delight, showcasing diverse flavors and keeping the dining experience exciting and varied.
Overall, Katathani Resort Phuket exceeded our expectations. The stunning beach, exceptional staff, and fantastic dining options made our stay unforgettable. I would eagerly return and recommend this resort to couples seeking a perfect blend of relaxation and indulgence.
