We had a lovely time here. There are many activities to do here (kayaking, water polo, sunset cruises, local musicians, snorkeling etc) and you wont get bored. The staff is very polite especially our room service lady Begam.

Huge compliments to Chef Alexandre and Chef Neerag for creating dishes that were bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Every meal felt like a masterpiece. A special thank you as well to the amazing staff — Akhilesh, Neehal, and Kylian — for their outstanding hospitality, friendliness, and attention to detail throughout the evening. They truly made us feel welcomed and looked after from start to finish. If you’re looking for incredible food, amazing service, and a memorable experience, Lemongrass is a must-visit. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back! Read less

Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and made with great attention to detail. What made the experience even more special was how thoughtfully he prepared custom dishes for us based on our preferences. His passion for cooking and warm hospitality could truly be felt in every meal. A big appreciation as well to Sameer for his outstanding service and friendly attitude. He was always attentive, welcoming, and ensured we had a comfortable and memorable dining experience every single day. Both Chef Madhu and Sameer made our stay extra special, and we would love to visit again! Read less

Lagoon Attitude is marketed as a 4 star hotel. There are some stand out good features of the hotel, some disappointing and some concerning. Good- a)Staff- Some of the staff are amazing. Henna, who is justifiably mentioned in many reviews is a credit to Lagoon. She works so hard in the Wave bar, always with a smile. Renna and Aky from Kot Nou. Both friendly, helpful. There are a few others but unfortunately can’t remember their names b) we had excellent massages in the Spa, definitely recommend and ensure you get your 20% off if this is part of the offer from your tour operator as we had to ‘prove’ we were eligible when paying our final bill at checkout even though we’d emailed in advance of stay when booking massages. c) Coral- standout of a la cartes. Chef happy to accommodate allergies, food excellently presented, wait staff good and whole experience positive. Taba J- good option for lunchtime for those that like local food and a more relaxing environment Disappointing- a) room- definitely not four star. Our allocated room needed refurbishment. Shower door didn’t close properly, leaked into toilet area. Grout dirty, lack of floor rug in bedroom area to brighten up space. Balcony didn’t drain properly so standing water by patio doors. Towels small and could do with replacing. Beach towels in comparison larger and better quality. b) beach area- I don’t think we had realised it was a man made beach, sand is coarse, beach area small where entry to sea is. We thought from our research and marketing that there was snorkelling from beach but for those used to snorkelling the clarity is poor and there is nothing really. The snorkel trail is not from the beach, you have to book to go there by catamaran, again this is disappointing especially as often fully booked and whilst we were there cancelled due to weather. Marine guide focused mainly on a couple of French guests and we were left just to follow. Suggest if you want to snorkel, like we did, you either choose a different hotel or book snorkel trips to go elsewhere. It’s also very windy and a taxi driver commented to us that it’s always windy at the hotel (we hadn’t said anything) so if it’s grey and cooler the wind can add a definite chill to the area. This may appeal to many and the wind is welcome when it’s hot but can also be a downside. You can escape it by one of the pools by Coral and the main pool. Alternatively get a taxi to take you to a beach on west side. c) some of the entertainment was poor, the entertainment team would benefit from being there and seeing how guests react to certain acts as it was noticeable some nights by the exiting of guests from amphitheater. Other nights guests were fully engaged and area was packed! d) buffet breakfast mostly good, although coffee best from machines. Juice poor from beer pulls, best from fridges. Buffet on gala night had been decimated by 7.30pm so probably best on those nights to eat early! Lobster night in Kot Nou, expensive. Concerning- a) we had a very unfortunate experience at Lemongrass. We’d previously eaten there and booked to return. On the night we did it was only set up inside and some of seating is on a high trestle type with dividers between some guests , think of an office type environment. They were so disorganised and we ended up leaving before eating our mains due to a serious breach of health and safety standards. We did raise this with management but are still awaiting a full response from their investigation. This unfortunately affected the rest of our holiday. We chose to go out from the hotel the next day to try and reset and have a positive experience elsewhere and ate that night at Coral, where we chose to eat the remainder of our holiday. Management did listen but we are not sure what action they actually took. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again or recommend the hotel. The hotel is isolated at the northern tip, which we thought was supposed to be better the time of year we went but it wasn’t and you are quite a long way from other areas of Mauritius. We wish we had read the not so positive reviews of the hotel and taken their comments on board and chosen to stay elsewhere as this has coloured our view of MaIritis’s Read less
