The hotel

When you step through the doors of this adults only resort, you'll instantly know you've reached paradise. Soak up the splendour of your surroundings with typical Mauritian architecture, decor inspired by the sea, and a roundabout bar with 360º views of the pool and glistening ocean beyond. The resort is located in front of one of the largest lagoons of Mauritius, Anse la Raie lagoon, and you can spend your days trying out the complimentary water sports, including glass bottom boat rides, or sail out on the resorts catamaran with daily full day excursions (at extra costs). There's also a luxurious spa (not forgetting the 3 swimming pools too) for those relaxing days. Either way, we guarantee you won't want to leave.

A fantastic stay which was for 14 days but had to be extended to 22 days due to the conflicf in the Middle East. Our room was overlooking the ocean with beautiful views. Room was clean and comfortable with housekeeping excellent. Reception staff very helpful and particularly enjoyed the tour of the hotel on arrival. Medhava on reception excellent and extremely helpful. All the restaurants excellent. Food at Kat Nou very tasty and staff very friendly. The Lemongrass staff were very attentive and friendly and food excellent and flavoursome. The Coral restaurant was fantastic and food excellent, plenty of choice and of a very high standard and thank the Chefs Yuvraj, Yohan, Osan and Gurnakski. Again the staff (Usha, Arshay, Permal, Jeson and Ani) were friendly, attentive and service of a high standard with nothing too much trouble. Staff in main restaurant all friendly and you werevwell looked after. Bar staff excellent and orders taken quickly. The grounds of the hotel beautiful and well looked after. Pools and beach excellent and sun beds always available. Entertainment team did a great job and offered a variety of activities. Recommend this hotel as in a beautiful setting with all staff going out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic holiday. Read less

A special mention to Akaash at the lemongrass and to Reena at Kot nu restaurant. Both are genuinely amazing people who are truly passionate about hospitality and service. Achill on the bar who works tirelessly day and night is just brilliant ! We are truly grateful to the reception team who helped us make our stay beautiful especially Sajid and Carine. This stunning seafront adults only hotel offers not only an exceptionally picturesque view, but a superb sustainability commitment, included in which is their provision of at least 30% vegan options across their menus. The staff’s friendly and professional approach enhances the overall experience and the restaurants are some of the best we have visited. It’s advisable to pre book the a la carte restaurants as they are popular. There are ample sun beds, whether you prefer the beach or one of the three swimming pools. There is a mixture of lively and quiet areas. The main pool had daily aqua aerobics and volley ball, and the quiet pools felt like a luxury spa area. Large floating cushions were in all pools and enhanced the relaxing vibe. The hotel’s drinks offer was superb in that in addition to the usual alcohol offer was an excellent selection of non-alcoholic options including mocktails, beer and spirits. This, in addition to their incredible range of vegan options was second to none. The rooms were a little tired in that they could do with some general maintenance. For example some of the patio doors were very stiff to open and the bed was creaky yet comfortable. The local area is not easily accessed by foot so we spent most of our time in the resort, although trips were available. We enjoyed visiting the Seven Coloured Earth and the extinct volcano for example, as well as the giant tortoises. The evening musical entertainment was varied and high quality. We unreservedly would recommend this hotel and hope to return ourselves. Read less
