We had a great time here. Food was good and special mention to our server Zahir who was very polite, accommodating and professional. Only problem is we could not access the pool or beach area as is it only available for in house guest.

We had a wonderful experience at Le Café at Le Royal Meridien. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind over a good cup of coffee. A special mention goes to Saw, who took exceptional care of us throughout our visit. He was attentive, genuinely warm, and went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. His thoughtful service truly elevated the whole experience. It’s always the little details that make a difference, and Saw’s hospitality did just that. We’ll definitely be coming back again. We had stayed at LRM 4 times previously, however last time was 10 years ago, so expecting some changes. Debated on the 5* review, as the welcome did not go well. As we arrived we were briefly acknowledged and asked to take a seat to one side of the main reception. No welcome drink or real welcome. After about 15mins just sitting there, someone came over and said we need to go through to the tower reception, this should have happened as we arrived. When checking in as a Platinum member, not acknowledged until I prompted them and eventually recognised as it should have been. So not going well to start with, however that was the only problem during our stay ( arrived just before the conflict and left on 5th, to schedule) therefore still provided a 5* review. We were in a large suite in the main building and had obviously been refurbished since our last visit, everything you could want, cleaned and turned down excellently every day. We had lounge access and boy that has changed significantly, it’s a much bigger room and the food is very extensive, whether that’s breakfast, tea time or pre dinner. In fact if you wanted you could easily use this as your dining option and as non alcoholic drinkers, good mocktails too. One of the main reasons for returning are the extensive lawned areas, as we prefer that to the beach and once again it was great, with good towel and waiter service. One niggle was no complementary water, which seems a tad shortsighted as you then just bring the water from your room and get an ice bucket, so no cost difference if they did offer it. No longer rabbits about, although Peacocks still present, who can look quite magnificent, but also quite loud too. However cannot review without mentioning the building of the large hotel next door, we knew about this in advance, but those that say they didn’t notice the noise are a bit disingenuous, you can certainly hear it, particularly metal on metal, and it is 24/7 although not so bad at night. They did stop working when the first attacks started and you could feel it was a totally different environment, just a taste of what it will be like when it’s finally completed. Hopefully we will return sooner than 10 years. Read less
