The hotel

Completely renovated in 2017, this innovative resort has been designed by Kelly Hoppen and delivers an eclectic mix of effortless sophistication and relaxed informality, as well as signature LUX* touches. In a peaceful location, rooms overlook the triple-bay beaches and calm lagoon. There are beautiful gardens to wander in; stopping awhile to lounge on beanbags and hammocks dotted beneath coconut, banyan and filao trees. There are land and water sports galore, plus a world-class golf course nearby and bikes for exploring tropical hillsides or the local markets and village of Cap Malheureux. The LUX* Me Spa is a true haven, offering a range of indulgent treatments as well as yoga and dynamic exercise classes. Dining-wise, you’ll be spoilt for choice, with delicious island-inspired and international dishes. Chat to the chef and watch your meal being created at The Palm Court, savour the cultures of Peru at INTI and visit Under the Banyan for mouthwatering burgers, wood-smoked meats and inventive cocktails at the French Kiss Bar.

Just moments away from a small fishing village on the north coast of Mauritius. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

Superior Rooms have views of the lagoon from a terrace or balcony, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 teen or 1 child or 1 infant.

All Inclusive option: includes

- Breakfast at The Palm Court

- Lunch in any of the a la carte restaurants open during the day and for guests on excursions, picnic basket (requests to be placed at the reception 24-hours in advance)

- Dinner in any of the restaurants (excluding INTI*), a la carte and live cooking

- Wellness: Yoga & stretching classes, fitness centre, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and spa garden (mandatory reservation subject to availability at the Spa -adults only)

Room upgrades

Wellness Junior Suites are perfect for couples and solo travellers seeking a wellness-centric holiday. They feature a beach house-style, a furnished outdoor balcony or terrace facing the secluded bay, a cosy indoor seating area, and one bedroom with a four-posted king-size Sleep Tight bed (with luxe linens, and your choice of pillow). The retro-style bathroom features mood lighting, bath, rainfall shower, twin vanities, and a separate toilet, as well as LUX* collection bath amenities. The room also includes a mini-bar* stocked with healthy snacks, yoga mat, strap and block, exercise cards, one plant-based smoothies, unlimited use of stand-up paddle and kayak, weekly yoga and movement classes, unlimited access to the spa’s hydrothermal facilities, unlimited on-site golf practice and balls, outdoor activity deck, access to four tennis courts plus one paddle court, complimentary use of mountain bikes, and a healthy in-room dining menu with plant based options. These suites have 1 king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Junior Suites are located on the ground floor with direct access to the beach, spacious bathroom, walk-in shower, bath, separate toilet and dressing room, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Ocean Junior Suites are located on the second floor, have a spacious balcony with an outdoor bathtub for two, and a king-size bed sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child/teen. Family Suites have a king size bed and double sofa beds, two bathrooms and a walk-in dressing room, sleeping maximum 4 adults or 3 adults, 2 children/1 teen or 2 adults and 3 children/2 teens.

The LUX* Suite has a generous lounge area, walk-in dressing room, a sleek oversized bathroom with deep-soaking bath and walk-in shower, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child/teen.

Prestige Junior Suites are located on the ground floor facing a sheltered cove in the adults-only area, and boasts a 25 sqm terrace, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

6 dining options: The Palm Court (live cooking stations, open for breakfast and dinner), INTI (Peruvian cuisine, open grill kitchen for dinner only), Beach Rouge (casual beachfront dining, open for lunch and dinner), Bodrum Blue (authentic Turkish restaurant open for lunch and dinner), and Under the Banyan which is home to the Creole Smokehouse (adults-only) and BBs Burger Shack (adults-only section). 7 bars: INTI Pisco Bar, G&T 100 Club, Rum Tree House, French Kiss, The Palm Court and the beachfront bars at Beach Rouge and Bodrum Blue.

A special mention to Akshay, Anish and Rishi, who all went above and beyond throughout our stay. And the beach service team deserves their own round of applause: Viresh, Maxwell, Reedoo, Kumar, Niantso, Chirag, Liam, Malkom, Scuf and Goranah. These guys were fantastic. Always attentive, always smiling, always one step ahead. They made every day by the water a pleasure. The food was stunning. Not just good-for-a-hotel good.
