Part of the Outrigger family, this is a premier hotel with well-equipped, spacious guest rooms ensuring a comfortable holiday base. The location is fantastic too, directly overlooking beautiful Waikiki Beach and just a stone's throw from shops, bars and restaurants. Even people who aren't staying here tend to wander into the lobby as it's filled with rare and historic Hawaiian artefacts, including a century-old koa canoe! The Hula Grill Waikiki is another local attraction, serving scrumptious breakfasts and romantic dinners beside the ocean. Duke's Waikiki is also right on the beach and perfect for an evening meal, complete with regular live music and hula performances. The swimming pool is beachside so you can enjoy the views of the sparkling blue waters, wherever you choose to set up camp for the day.

Very disappointed with the hotel on our 3rd stay! We were not informed prior to booking that huge renovations were taking place both inside and outside of the hotel!! All lifts inside had ply board attached inside and had a musty smell, as do the hallways of the hotel. The longboard club was on the top floor and was dark, damp, cold and only a small choice of food was available. It was so disappointing after previous years staying here. We sadly had to check out and find a different hotel for the remainder of our stay!!
I think guests should be advised upon booking that big renovations are taking place, so that they are made aware rather than have them arrive and be very disappointed, or have the inconvenience of having to find alternative accommodation.
Hopefully once renovations have taken place (whenever that maybe) it can be a beautiful hotel again.

5days in Oahu

We chose this hotel as it is one of the few directly on the beach. Had a good package through Costco that included either breakfast or lunch at Dukes. Hotel staff were very accommodating and the hotel was good enough for us. It was nice being able to walk out onto the beach.

This hotel is terribly outdated and very expensive for what you get.
We were recommended it by some friends i would never stay there again.
Had a leaking roof in the bathroom and we got a $75 credit in the restaurant but we were paying approximately $950 Aus per night.

We had an incredible time at the hotel - the room wad very spacious, comfortable, and clean with everything we needed for our stay. The ocean view was gorgeous and we all enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. The hotel was in the perfect location within Waikīkī - just a five minute walk to the beach with many shops and restaurants nearby. Even in a busy area, our room was quiet and tranquil at night. Evelyn and Anipa provided the best service and kept the room nice and tidy! Would definitely come back and stay again!
