Where is it

Located 118km northwest of Malé in Baa Atoll. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 20-minute fixed wing domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Island followed by a 10-minute speedboat transfer to Royal Island.

Hotel information

148 classically designed Beach Villas. All with terrace, air-conditioning and ceiling fan, satellite TV, complimentary WiFi, telephone, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar*, hairdryer, and safe, bathrobes and slippers, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast lunch and dinner in the main restaurant and afternoon tea and snacks at the pool terrace. Drinks include bottled water, tea and coffee, canned or bottled soft drinks and juice. House wine, beer and selected house brand spirits (gin, vodka, rum, arrack, brandy & whiskey) plus selected cocktails, from the main bar and pool terrace, from 10:00am–1:00am. Mini-bar with two small coca colas and two canned fruit juices, replenished once per day (all other items at a charge). Sports including snorkelling equipment, dingy sailing and canoeing. One night-fishing excursion per guest per stay, when staying 6 nights or more.

Please note: Champagne and premium spirits are available at an extra charge.

Premium all inclusive: includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant. Guests can also select one a la carte meal per day at the pool terrace or Raabondhi restaurant. Afternoon tea, a wide range of wines, beers and premium brand spirits, cocktails, tea & coffee, soft drinks and bottled water throughout the day. Mini-bar (replenished once daily). A glass of sparkling wine and fruit basket are provided in-room upon arrival. A selection of land and water sports such as badminton, tennis, snorkelling equipment throughout your stay, windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding.

Stays of 7 nights or more, are also eligible for one of the following:

One session of 60-minute spa treatment

One half-day excursion per person per stay

One Sunset Dolphin cruise excursion per person per stay

One Night Fishing trip per person per stay

A One of the highlights of our trip was definitely the snorkeling and excursions. Swimming with turtles and manta rays was an unforgettable experience, and the sandbank trip was like something out of a dream. Everything was very well organized, and the staff who accompanied us were professional, friendly and made us feel safe and taken care of at all times. The staff overall was exceptional – always kind, helpful and smiling. A special thank you to Tini, who made our stay even more enjoyable with her kindness and professionalism. Thank you Tini! The variety was outstanding, with a constantly changing selection of dishes that kept every meal exciting. From international cuisine to local specialties, everything was fresh, high quality, and beautifully prepared – there was something new to enjoy every day. We would especially like to thank Habib, the waiter who took care of us throughout our stay. His friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine smile made every dining experience even more enjoyable. What a lovely resort! The beach has lovely soft white sand and you can snorkel directly from the beach. Snorkelling good - saw plenty of fish, sharks and a turtle from the Jetty. Could not fault the drinks and cocktails - they make a great Aperol and other nice cocktails as part of AL. Food good. Room lovely but there are some shady rooms with… Read more

If you want a stay with comfortable and good equipped bungalows. You will find all of that here on this island. We booked a villa on the sunset side of the island. the pool was daily cleaned by the stuff. the whole stuff was very discreet and normally invisible. The arrival was after a 21 our flight very lovely managed by our host Alya. She takes over all the things, which should be organized. We had holidays from the beginning. We were connected over WhatsApp and so we had always a possibility to join the snorkel trips , diving base, and all the other activities. We had a booking for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The foots and also the offered drinks were good and well presented. You can find all kind off food you want at the buffet. We had a personal stuff for the service on the table. The island is rounded by a reef. When we snorkeled around, we saw a lot of fishes turtles and reef sharks. The best time is close to evening short before the sunset. At least some words addressed to our lovely host Alya. She was always on, the whole time. She gave us the advises for activities in a very respectful and discreet kind, so that we feel never a pressure. The departure was also very good organized. We had to start at 0500 am. We had a good breakfast and transfer to the inland airport. At all we enjoined the days on the island. fore us It was a good break in paradise. Read less
