Staff really lovely and friendly which is about the only good thing about this hotel. Not a Royalton Autograph standard. Would not book this hotel again. Grenada is a wonderful island. Shame our stay has been tainted by the bad hotel experience. Talking to few guests during our stay, feeling was the same. Read less

My husband and I always travel for our anniversary, and this was our first trip to Grenada and our first stay at a Royalton Resort. We were there from May 16th to the 23rd, staying in Room 20207 (Diamond Club). I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. Brad G. and Quaver were our assigned butlers, and they went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. They made our day-to-day experience completely worry-free, and they even had our suite decorated for our anniversary on the 18th! Everyone in Building 20 was also incredibly helpful and pleasant. The staff at the Diamond Club pool and bar were also fantastic, especially Vedia (spelling?), our waitress. She checked in with us several times each day to make sure we had everything we needed, both at the pool and on the beach. I used the gym daily and also participated in the water exercises. Kelson, Ronisha, and the Royalton Fit team were all wonderful—they were helpful, encouraging, and made exercising fun. This was our first trip to Grenada and our first stay at a Royalton, but it definitely will not be our last! Thank you for an amazing vacation and for making our anniversary so special. Read less

Recently returned from the Royalton Grenada. 9 of us travelled including 2 teenagers. We travelled from the UK with British Airways for a 7 night holiday. Overall we had an awesome time but there are some issues the resort needs to address such as food, towel’s and customer service. Whilst on our holiday we tried not to let the small issues get in the way of our holiday. The beach, swimming pools and grounds of the hotel are lovely. We had a room in block 11 that overlooked the lake. We were happy with our room but every evening we had to chase towels, one evening our room hadn’t been cleaned so as it was too late advised the cleaner not to clean the room. Room service - I would just say don’t bother! Takes 60-90 minutes and that’s if they have what you’ve ordered. One evening, we just had to cancel room service and go to bed without eating as it was getting too late for the kids. Swimming pools - we thought we would prefer the main pool as it looked bigger in pictures and seemed to give quieter vibes but due to issues with a leak and the pool being quite shallow we spent most of our pool time over at the infinity pool. We enjoyed our time at the infinity pool and a particular shout out goes to Joanna who ensured we had drinks flowing all day. Joanna was kind and caring, unlike most other staff she wanted to ensure guests were having a good time. We really appreciated Joanna, she’s doing a grand job at the resort. Service overall - whilst some staff are friendly like those at the gym in particular Aquinas, the vibe staff and some servers like Joanna, I feel most staff at the resort need customer service training. Staff simply don’t seem to want to be helpful or go out of the way to make your holiday that extra bit special (it’s not a cheap holiday). We travelled for my husbands 40th and I asked for a small cake and candle one of the evenings, the server came over and placed it down and said sorry we are short staffed so we can’t sing happy birthday (this was extremely disappointing and it would have been better if nothing was said as this really did not make the evening special, more pointless). Before arriving I gave the hotel plenty of notice that we were travelling for my husband’s birthday and asked if they could put a banner in the door (something Royalton do as we’ve been to a few resorts). They did it on the second day, again didn’t make his stay any special, as it wasn’t there for arrival. Frozen drinks were a slight problem without straws and often ended up over your face! So if you remember take some metal straws to reuse, or your own cup holders. There’s no drinks list so you ask for drinks based on what you’ve had before, a bar tenders recommendations or try and see what everyone else is having and point it out 😂 Food - definitely not 5*! Breakfast and lunch were fine, but not exceptional. Dinner was something else…….. the buffet was a disaster most nights. We had an awful experience at Ma Maison and Taj wasn’t authentic. The Italian was the best option and if we could have booked on more than once we would have. The app would only allow for 8 people to book at a time, so we spent the first two days going back and forth to guest services to try and get bookings which you shouldn’t have to do on holiday, certainly not at a 5* resort. Airport is literally a 2 minute drive. So after a long flight this made things even easier and you don’t really hear any noise from the airport if if anyone is concerned about that. We visited in May, it was low season so no excuses for poor customer service, food quality and lack of towels. However, with all of the above said, we still made the most of our holiday and enjoyed our time at the the Royalton, it just isn’t a 5* resort and hopefully the resort will sort out some of the issues.
