The hotel

Nestled in 10-acres of delightful tropical, lush gardens, the Sunset at the Palms is a sure-fire winner for adults looking for a peaceful and pampering retreat. Offering a personalised concierge service, the dedicated team are happy to assist as soon as you arrive, ensuring your stay in Negril is everything you want it to be. From arranging transportation and booking excursions to making dining reservations and organising special occasions, nothing is too much trouble. Renowned for its unique and intimate accommodations, stay in exquisite wooden bungalows that sit atop sturdy stilts, so you feel like you’re in a tree house, with polished wood floors, sleek showers with body jets and airy balconies furnished with a relaxing day bed. There are three different dining choices, and we particularly love the spicy Jamaican ‘Jerk’ chicken that’s served at the Beach Bar and Grill during lunch — don’t miss it! The pool is perfect for lounging in the sun, or it’s a short escorted walk over the road to the celebrated Bloody Bay, a spectacular stretch of white sand beach fringed with picture-perfect palm trees.

I had heard so much about Sunset prior to my arrival and so my expectations were pretty high. I was looking for a quiet week in a beautiful setting with good food. I wanted more of a Jamaican vibe than you’ll find at a huge resort, but still wanted the amenities of a nice AI. They really delivered. The beach is beautiful and quiet, the resort itself is designed so tastefully, the botanical garden surroundings are incredible. And by far the best food I’ve had at a resort. But honestly, the staff deserves all the credit for making the Sunset the best place to stay in Negril. They make sure you feel 100% taken care of from the moment you arrive. And a special shout out to my wonderful personal concierge, Toni-Shay….thanks again 🙂 The Sunset at the Palms embodies everything I love about Negril. The natural beauty, the vibe, the incredible food, and the incredible warmth of the Jamaican people. 🇯🇲 Can’t wait to come back, and with a group. Read less

Third time back. Our arrival was barely 2 months after that tragic hurricane. We were. welcome back With enthusiasm. All infrastructure were working perfectly, and the conditions at the resort were excellent. The beach across the street was as we remembered it and an excellent amenity.

This was our 2nd stay at SATP, and it won’t be our last. We enjoyed the quiet, laid back atmosphere and the beautiful beach. The food was good and the staff was great. If you want a relaxing vacation, we highly recommend. If you are looking for a wild party atmosphere, then look somewhere else. Either way, enjoy Jamaica!
