The hotel

If you like the sound of an adults-only, all inclusive, beach boutique break, then The Abidah by Accra should most certainly be on your wish list. When you arrive, you're greeted by the swishing palm trees, a warm Caribbean breeze, and stunning views of turquoise waters and white sands. With so much to do here, you'll be spoilt for choice on the daily. And in the evenings when that sun sets, head to one of the many restaurants for some good food, or head out to Oistins nearby to try its famous fish fry nights. However you choose to spend your days (and nights!), you'll relax into the Barbados way of life before you know it.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Disappointing given the price

Luckily we were only there for two nights before a cruise but the hotel was disappointing and not worth the price we paid. The pool was shut all day and there were no pool towels until late morning. The food was uninspiring and there was very little choice. Although there were bottles of branded spirits on the bar shelves the drinks were served out of unbranded bottles and they often ran out. The rooms were very generous in size but starting to look a bit tired. The tv which should have been wall mounted was propped up on the dressing table. This could be a lovely little boutique hotel but it needs some work to get there. Staff were generally very helpful. Read less

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at The Abidah by Accra was deeply disappointing. While the hotel has some functional merits, the service level—specifically at the front desk—was unacceptable. To be fair, the room itself was clean and relatively comfortable. However, the rest of the facilities are very mediocre and do not justify the price point. If you are looking for a premium experience in Barbados, this is not it. The front desk staff was, frankly, horrible. At 2:45 PM—just 15 minutes before the official check-in time—I politely inquired if my room happened to be ready. One of the receptionists completely lost her temper and blew up at me. She was beyond rude, essentially telling me to "go fry chickens" elsewhere and stay away from her. I have never been spoken to with such hostility by hotel staff, let alone over a simple, standard inquiry. It is clear that professional hospitality is not a priority here. Between the subpar facilities and the shocking lack of basic respect from the staff, this hotel is absolutely not worth the money. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Mid range hotel with value for money

This is a compact mid-range hotel so convenient for mobility issues. Bedrooms spacious and adequately equipped. Did not use the hot tub on the balcony. Food choices somewhat limited as might be expected for relatively small numbers. Bar service fine except no pool service although the pool area is directly outside the bar. Hotel appears good value for money- seem to be a number of package tourists here and was very convenient to acclimatise for a few days pre- cruise but not a lot to do in the evening but this may suit many visitors. Staff all polite and helpful. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Okay, wouldn’t stay again .However if you get it at the right price it’s good value for money .Drinks are good .

The rooms are great and the hot tub is a nice touch . It’s important to get out and about as there’s not much going on in this area. We used their sister hotel where we found the beach and pool area and food better than Abida .
