The hotel

This adults-only, all-inclusive resort is perfect for a relaxing holiday in the Barbados sun. Situated on the west coast, The Club overlooks the Caribbean sea and is a friendly place to while away sunny afternoons with a good book and a refreshing drink. Tucked away, there’s a split-level swimming pool and a full-service spa offering couples massages, aromatherapy salt scrubs and body wraps. Or build up an appetite for dinner by a game of tennis or enjoy a guided morning walk. The two restaurants will tempt you to dine in-house, but lively Bridgetown is just a short drive away and well worth exploring too. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Another great stay at the Club Barbados

Yet again the Club has knocked it out of the park. Welcoming staff and fabulous entertainment. A late trip for us in April made the whole island a little quieter but that helped enhance the experience. A classier stay than many places on the island, if you’re looking for a dignified resort the Club and Spa Barbados is for you.

Just returned from The Club Barbados. Our second trip to Barbados but our first to The Club Barbados. This resort felt like a 70 plus resort. The Room: We stayed in the ocean front suite. Very spacious but the bed was very hard and the furniture needed to be cleaned. Your mini refrigerator is not stocked and you only received two bottles of water for the week. Watched a bottle of mouthwash lay on the ground at the bottom of the stairs for two days while housekeeping sat on their phones every time we went to our room. Food: both ala carte restaurants were very good but breakfast and lunch were terrible. The buffet was the same thing everyday for breakfast and lunch which was terrible. Drinks : Delicious but no pool side or what they call a “ beach “ service. Activities: There is an activity board which does not amount to anything. Aqua gym was a joke. Best part is to take the 8:15 walk with Geraldine. Amazing and knows so much about the island. Geraldine should be in charge of the activity department. Staff: Hit or miss. Adult staff was amazing but the attitude of the younger generation has a lot to be desired and it shows. I would like to recognize the following staff who deserve a shout out. Geraldine truly an amazing employee Isahia beach bar Jaheem best pool boy Korean ( not sure if I spelled that right) beach bar Christina buffet water server Joshua front desk Kenton ? Jeep Safari tour- another amazing individual with his knowledge and love of the island. The Beach: There is none. If you love to walk on the beach there is none. You can walk through the water depending on low tide over to Sandy Lane Beach which is beautiful but can be tricky. Would I come back? No. I will be back to Barbados but The club Barbados is not it. A fabulous time had by all at Club Barbados Resort & Spa! Having read some of the negative reviews I am truly astounded, certainly not reflective of our experience! I chuckled to myself particularly at the negative comments in relation to "pool towels had to be retrieved down a sandy lane and nowhere near the pool" REALLY! I accept they were not poolside, and needed to be collected from water sports located on the complex however I timed the walk from my sun lounger to the point of collection and it was a minute and 3 seconds! Anyway to our experience! I believe culture begins at the top and it was refreshing to see the General Manager Caroline each morning checking all the guest areas, motivating her team and affording the time to chat to her guests! The location was superb, next to the Sandy Lane Beach and a pleasant walking distance to Holetown. We stayed in a superior garden view room which was spacious, comfortable, clean and the bathroom had a lovely walk-in shower. The food was of good quality with a great variety and clearly caters for a diverse audience. Now to the wonderful staff; I don't like to name only a few however the following staff members that we came into contact with were the core that underpinned our exceptional stay. As an early riser on holiday Chrsitianna was always on hand to prepare my iced coffee at the coffee bar and I only had to tell her my order on the first day as she remembered it thereafter. All the bar staff were fantastic, however to me Kareene, Vinny and Guye were absolutely outstanding in terms of service and customer engagement. As with the bar staff the service in the restaurant was very efficient. Now to a couple of unsung hero's! On holiday we take the beautiful pool areas for granted however my thanks goes to Travon and Jaheem who meticulously cleaned the pools daily were attentive to guest requests and were incredibly polite when going about their daily routines. Well Done Team Club Barbados Resort & Spa and we look forward to seeing you again next year! Read less
