The Coral at Atlantis

The hotel

Luxury in the Bahamas needn’t be off-limit to families. Built to bring all generations together, The Coral at Atlantis Paradise Island has re-opened after being re-designed and re-imagined with features, facilities, and fun for every age and stage of your crew. As well as the revamped rooms, with their balconies and tropical styling, and a sleek pool that’s more Miami than castaway island, The Coral adds decadent family touches like lollies at the swim-up bar and a gelateria in the lobby. Its setting on the island adds to the child-friendly feel, with Bahamian white sand beaches and Marina Village handily close. And you get access-all-areas to all the island’s dining venues and attractions, giving you something to thrill each member of your family — whether that’s plunging past shark-filled waters down the near-vertical Leap of Faith or splashing about in the Mayan-themed children’s water playground.

Beautiful Resort. Clean amenities and friendly staff. Aside from being followed to the bathroom and harassed by one of the lifeguards, I had a wonderful time.

Room was not what I would have expected. There was mold in our shower. Also the service left a lot to be desired. Hotel staff acted inconvenienced anytime we needed something small or basic that I would consider routine in hospitality.

Overall had a pretty good stay, but would likely book in a different part of Atlantis for a future visit. We’re a family of 4 that stayed on the lagoon side and had a premium terrace view. We were there during spring break so unfortunately, it was a bit noisy at times. I was glad I brought my earplugs! Room - Clean. Comfy beds, but needs new pillows. Pretty view of the Coral Pool and ocean. Balcony furniture could be replaced - looked like the table had a few cracks. The door to go out to the balcony was very heavy. Bathroom came with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, a shower cap, and a hairdryer. Room also had a keurig and mini fridge (very small). TV did not have access to any streaming services but there were some channels and option to buy movies (yes, I know I’m on vacation but my kids get up early!). No issues with elevators but we also tended to get up earlier than the spring breakers so it never felt too long of a wait. For breakfast, we hit up Starbucks (in basement of Coral) or the pastry cart in the lobby. Claudio’s is also there and Sun & Ice. So lots of options! There’s also a sundry shop on the same floor as the lobby in case you forgot anything (still $$$). Coral also has the Coral Pool outside. It has a swim up bar and volleyball net. We went here few times but it was mostly spring breakers so we ventured elsewhere. Read less

An amazing venue with breathtaking views. The activities and beach ambiance, with fantastic staff support made this a memorable trip. A word to the wise, the food options are pricing and worth exploring restaurants near by (and off property).
