Throwing you into the full Atlantis experience, The Royal is as legendary as the myths that inspired and infuse them. The architecture, the artwork, the adventures — each have a cheeky nod to the Lost City of Atlantis, but the well-dressed rooms and suites are a little less kitsch, coming with French or full balconies and views over the terraces, water, or harbour. The Royal — central to the myth of Atlantis — Atlantean-themed murals, décor and mosaics abound, it is here that the lost city comes to life! The Royal rooms features French balconies with terrace, harbour or water views. 1,083 rooms and 118 suites on 24 floors, all with air-conditioning, flat-screen HDTV, WiFi access, alarm clock, tea/coffee makers, safe, hairdryer, mini-fridge*, iron and ironing board, and bathroom amenities.

Terrace View Rooms offer inland views of the complex and resort, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds sleeping maximum 4 people.

Board basis options

Atlantis Breakfast Plan: includes one breakfast food item per person at participating venues. It includes a full breakfast buffet at Poseidon’s Table.

Harbour View Rooms offer views of Atlantis Marina or Nassau Harbour, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds sleeping maximum 4 people.

Water View Rooms offer views of the waterscape, pool or ocean, with 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds sleeping maximum 4 people.

Imperial Club Rooms are available with terrace, harbour or water views, and are located on the 19th floor of the East Tower with dedicated concierge service in the Club Lounge, added room amenities such as slippers and robes, reusable water bottles. Continental breakfast, afternoon tea, complimentary cocktails and evening canapes in the lounge at select times, subject to change. Rooms featuring either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

1 Bedroom Grand Suites feature ocean views, an expansive living/dining room, refrigerated service bar, and master bedroom with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

2 Bedroom Grand Suites are the same as above, with the addition of a connecting bedroom with 2 queen-size beds and an extra bathroom, sleeping maximum 8 people.

The Royal Towers are in need of a substantial amount of TLC. The rooms were great. No issues with their renovations there. However, the building is falling apart. The Royal Towers are in need of a substantial amount of TLC. The rooms were great. No issues with their renovations there. However, the building is falling apart. To the point where the elevator button paint is gone on 90% of the buttons. There are drywall patches left untouched, the same old stores, and not much different after 10 years of visiting other than the new Tiffany & Co. shop in the middle of the aquarium floor, which destroyed the aesthetic of one of the most majestic parts of the building. The Royal Our initial stay was 4 nights and 5 days (17Jul2026 - 21Jul2026, booked through AMEX). We decided we wanted to stay an additional night. In doing so, I called AMEX to add a day. I was told to reach out directly to the hotel staff to do this as AMEX could not. Upon approaching the reservations dept, I was told that I had to book two nights as there was a minimum. However, I was then transferred to a VIP concierge (Jamie who was VERY helpful) and she was able to set me up with one additional night. Although we had to move to the Cove, I was very happy with Jamie's ability to assist with moving us to the Cove and a new check out of 22Jul2026. Teh Cove We LOVED the Cove! So much so, that I went down to the front desk again to extend one more night (check-out 23Jul2026). As luck would have it, I was told again that I could not do that. And again, I was able to extend bv talking to VIP services without issue. Both issues were eventually resolved but not without a bit of a headache. Overall The Atlantis COULD be the one of the best resorts in the world. It has luxury, location, history, story, and everything they would need to be that. However, Marriott needs to examine the future and vision of the iconic Royal Towers as it is the epicenter of the resort. We have stayed at the Royal, the Reef, and now the Cove. I would suggest to anyone that the Cove and Reef are far worth the extra money even if you have to reduce the amount of days you plan to stay. Bottom Line - Will we be back: Yes Read less

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was by far the worst resort experience I've ever had. The food was ridiculously expensive, especially considering the quality. The resort did not provide complimentary drinking water in the rooms. Instead, we were given only two reusable bottles and told to refill them, which was very inconvenient, especially in the Bahamas heat. The entire resort had an unpleasant odor in many areas, making it difficult to enjoy our stay. The staff was also extremely unhelpful and showed little interest in addressing guest concerns. To make matters worse, the elevators looked old, poorly maintained, and felt like they were about to fall apart, which was concerning from a safety standpoint. I've traveled to many destinations around the world, and this was easily the most disappointing resort I've stayed at. I would strongly discourage families with young children from staying here. Based on my experience, I genuinely struggle to understand how this property has so many glowing reviews on Expedia. My experience was completely different, and it makes me question whether those reviews accurately reflect what guests can expect. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this resort to others. Read less
