The Royal at Atlantis

Nassau, Bahamas

Star rating

The hotel

Throwing you into the full Atlantis experience, The Royal is as legendary as the myths that inspired and infuse them. The architecture, the artwork, the adventures — each have a cheeky nod to the Lost City of Atlantis, but the well-dressed rooms and suites are a little less kitsch, coming with French or full balconies and views over the terraces, water, or harbour. Their spot on Atlantis Paradise Island puts you right by Atlantis Casino and at the heart of the world’s largest outdoor ‘marine habitat’ — with 14 lagoons and more than 50,000 aquatic residents, from sharks to barracuda. The island’s other fabled fun’s yours for the taking too, whether its experiencing rides or slides at the 141-acre Aquaventure waterscape; snorkelling the ‘ruins’ at Atlantis; or kicking back at one of its 21 restaurants and 19 bars.

Always love the Atlantis! Great time for adults, families it is more difficult. There is absolutely nothing for kids/teens to do at night or adults that don't drink or gamble. It would be great if there were shows or outdoor firepits or something to do.

We did enjoy our suite very much and the beautiful view from our balcony, but the experience could have happened anywhere at half the cost. Read less

We had a Grand one bedroom suite at The Royal Tower at Atlantis and our grandchildren had the 2 Bedroom suite in the West wing of The Royal Tower. They were spectatular rooms with great amenities. I would like to give a sincere complement to my housekeeper Christine! She was wonderful and kept our room and bathroom spotless! She was quick to get me extra towels and clean when it was convenient for us. She is fabulous. Also, on the day that 5 cruise ships were in port, the pool was very crowded and Nakyle at the pool helped me get 6 chairs and 2 umbrellas set up for my crew. He was SOOO helpful and had such a great attitude and happy to help me. I really appreciated his help. Upon checking out at guest services, we had a question on our bill (I had three rooms and lots of people charging on my card)...Brendalee quickly corrected the mistake and was GREAT!! Also, Hector at butler service was helpful as well. It is always so nice to go to a resort where the employees are kind and helpful!! We enjoyed our 5 day stay and will return soon! Read less

If I could give zero stars I would! My son and his friends went on a senior trip to have fun. One of his friends had to leave early because he was going to college. Only to his demise…when a trusted transportation from this hotel picked him up. This poor young man trustingly accepted this ride to the airport only to be met with a machete and masked men bringing him to an ATM to withdraw cash. Thank the Lord they did not harm him, but please be aware. They have inside jobs and no conscience. Read less
