The hotel

Whether you're in the Big Easy for the music, the shops or just to get a taste of the Deep South, Aloft New Orleans Downtown is on hand to give you a great base. As you'd expect from a hotel that's got its finger firmly on the fast-paced pulse, you'll find fitness facilities, super speedy WiFi and even a grab 'n' go snack counter available around the clock, as well as a rooftop pool open morning, noon and night. The W XYZ bar offers the very best in classic and contemporary tunes as well as live acoustic sets, cocktails and draft beers, meaning you don't have to roam too far to have fun although, with Bourbon Street and the French Quarter nearby it would be rude not to spend at least one night on the tiles. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Stay at Aloft Downtown New Orleans! Our group of five stayed at Aloft Downtown New Orleans to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The entire staff—from the front desk to the bar—went above and beyond to make our celebration unforgettable. A very special shout-out to Miss Renee at the bar, who is truly a gem. Her warm personality made us feel right at home, and her Lemon Drop martini is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. She made every evening feel like a celebration. The Chef deserves major praise as well. The chicken wings, pizzas, and especially the jambalaya were out of this world. I’ve had jambalaya many times in New Orleans, but this was truly the best I’ve ever tasted. The food and drinks were consistently excellent throughout our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to accommodate all our needs. They surprised us with champagne in the room and even provided a $25 drink voucher, which made the birthday celebration feel even more special. Their thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed. A heartfelt thank you to Ty Bolton, General Manager, along with Alisha and Narissa, for their exceptional hospitality. Their professionalism and kindness elevated our entire experience. The hotel itself is in a perfect location—close to everything, yet peaceful enough to relax. Our room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the price was excellent for the quality and convenience. The unlimited coffee, tea, and hot chocolate each morning was a delightful touch and the perfect way to start our days. Aloft Downtown New Orleans has a warm, home-like feel with great people, great food, and great energy. We will definitely be returning, and as a travel professional, I will be highly recommending this hotel to all my clients visiting New Orleans. Thank you, Aloft, for making our celebration truly unforgettable! Read less

We booked a city view room through a third party sight and was bumped to a room without any windows (no price adjustment) because we didn't book through their website. Was told that the room we were switched to was comparable to the one we booked without windows. Not an issue had I known that was the policy and the rates were the same or… Read more

Was told that the room we were switched to was comparable to the one we booked without windows. Not an issue had I known that was the policy and the rates were the same or adjusted. The refrigerator didn't work called for a new one. It was finally replaced on Saturday after I called again. The room was pretty but dark. If you like to sleep in you probably like it. Ask for room 1603. Not enough lighting for me. Read less

While I understand that New Orleans is incredibly busy this weekend, my client booked a King - City View room at a premium rate for her 50th birthday and Mardi Gras weekend at Aloft New Orleans Downtown Hotel. Upon arrival, she was downgraded to a significantly smaller room with no windows. Most concerningly, she was informed by hotel management that this downgrade occurred specifically because the reservation was made via a third-party partner. As a travel professional, I find this justification unacceptable. Regardless of the booking channel, my client paid for a specific room category which has not been honored. This has significantly impacted her milestone celebration. Read less

Hotel manager really screwed me. Cancelled my reservation without notification. It was due to running my card and it declined because of fraud protection. Left me without a place to stay on Mardi Gras weekend. Only became aware of this 2 days prior to my arrival.

Could have used some more outlets and lighting options. Bed was comfortable. Great location and a great breakfast place across the street (Two Chicks). New Orleans is a great walking city, so we walked a lot. We did end up taking an uber to a music venue about 15 minutes away. I did spothero for parking, plenty of options around the hotel. My only complaint and this has happened at other Marriott properties where they don't have glass or plastic wine glasses in the room. The only cup option in the room was coffee cups or cheap plastic water cups. I went down to the bar and asked for two glasses so we could enjoy some wine in the room and the bartender said I couldn't have any glasses unless I bought something. I should have just asked for a glass of water....so silly they won't give me two glasses to use in the room... The time I went, this property was priced well and the service and the vibe was excellent, I'd recommend this Marriott property. Enjoy! Read less
