Made an exchange through RCI. I contacted the resort in advance that I would not be arriving on my check-in date, I would be a day late and late at night. When I arrived, I was assigned a suite on the 5th floor. The unit overlooked the parking garage. All night long we listed to deliveries being made and maintenance work being done. Our AC did not work (it was in the 90's outside}. I did request a new suite but was told they were sold out and I should check the next day. They did send up Maintenance the next day who repaired the AC unit. When I checked with the front desk manager the next day, I was told they did not have another suite for me to move into even though they had suited available. On the third day, I was told I could have a new room but had to vacate my existing room at 11am and would not be able to get into the new room until 4pm. Not a very guest friendly solution. We decided to stay in the inferior room. All the time the front desk continued to ask me how they could make by visit more enjoyable. Nothing but lip service. I felt I was being treated as a second-class guest since I was an RCI exchange. I most likely would not have been treated this way if I was an Owner. The ironic part was they wanted me & my wife to sit through a presentation where they would try to see me an ownership week. NO THANKS. Read less

The ELARA was an incredible stay in Las Vegas. Parking is very convenient and the indoor passage to MIRACLE MILE Shops and PLANET HOLLYWOOD made the stay unique. The room was very modern and had a great view!

Have never stayed at this property before. My husband and I prefer to stay at properties that do not have casinos. We find them quieter. We found a last minute reasonable rate for our stay. The one bedroom suite was incredible. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The unit had a kitchen and there was also a hot tub in the bedroom. The hotel is clean and staff are lovely. No one pushed us for time share as we were clear from the start that we were not interested. The location is center strip , next to Planet Hollywood. The only thing I dislike about the center and south parts of LV boulevard are the convoluted sidewalks and need to use escalators and bridges to cross streets. Otherwise, this hotel is just lovely. We asked for room where we could see the mountains in the distance and they were able to accommodate that. Read less

We stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara Center Strip Las Vegas and, despite the quality of the accommodation, we won’t be returning. To be clear, the room itself was excellent. It was huge, modern, spotless and extremely comfortable. The location just off the Strip, with direct access to the Miracle Mile shops, is very convenient. From a purely accommodation perspective, the hotel delivers. Unfortunately, the sales tactics completely overshadowed what should have been a relaxing stay. We initially asked about booking Sphere tickets and were told none were available. Later that evening, another member of staff informed us that tickets had in fact been available and should have been offered to us. During that conversation we had a genuinely friendly exchange — I even helped her plan part of her upcoming trip to the UK. At the end, she said, “I’m going to do something nice for you,” and invited us to breakfast the next morning as a thank-you gesture. That “breakfast” turned out to be a structured timeshare sales presentation. It was described as a 90-minute tour and we were reassured that “you can always say no.” In reality, it ran well over the stated time and felt consistently pressurised. The tone shifted quickly from friendly to transactional. What was particularly frustrating was that only during the pitch did it become clear that many of the properties and booking options discussed are not especially practical or easily accessible for European customers — something highly relevant to us as UK visitors and something that should have been transparent from the outset. When we made it clear we weren’t interested before we even started, the pressure didn’t simply stop — we were then offered vouchers and a separate two-night promotional stay in exchange for attending which is an apparent tactic of theirs. Being on holiday and already checked into the hotel creates an awkward dynamic. There’s an unspoken pressure to remain polite because you’re a guest, even when you feel misled. A hard sales presentation was not what we wanted or needed during our break. It’s disappointing, because the property itself is genuinely very good. But the overall experience left a negative impression that outweighed the positives. We won’t be staying again. Read less
