The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of seven restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, four distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

Avoid Flamingo. Paid for a Habitat Tower upgrade and got a safety hazard & broken promises. Rating: 1/5 Stars I usually stay at the Bellagio or Caesars Palace, but I decided to give the Flamingo a chance by booking what was supposed to be an **upgraded room in the Habitat Tower**. Big mistake. The customer service here is a disaster, the "upgraded" rooms are poorly maintained, and the supervisors resort to deceptive tactics to avoid fixing their own mistakes. Our upgraded room was missing a shower curtain, causing the bathroom to completely flood every time the shower was turned on. It took over 24 hours to get one—meanwhile, the standing water caused my child to slip and fall. **Supervisor Daniel** apologized for the safety hazard and offered a $30 credit. On Day 3, housekeeping completely ignored our 11:00 AM request for room cleaning. When we returned at 9:00 PM to a dirty room, another supervisor apologized and promised a $50 credit. To top it off, I was told at check-in that my $20 parking fee would be waived once I returned my rental car, which I did. At checkout, absolutely none of these promises were honored. The parking fee was still on my bill, and **Supervisor Yaneli** refused to honor the credits. She tried to claim that system notes showed I "rejected" Daniel's $30 credit (conveniently, because Daniel was off that day). She then absurdly claimed they "couldn't give both anyway"—as if compensation for a safety issue that caused a child to fall and a total housekeeping failure cancel each other out. Daniel makes promises she doesn't log properly, and Yaneli uses technicalities and excuses to nickel-and-dime guests. Save your money and your sanity. Don't fall for the room upgrades here. Stick to properties like Bellagio or Caesars Palace where they actually respect their guests. Read less

Been staying at the Flamingo for 20 years. My stay in May was the worse. I can only speak to my room, but it was in bad shape. Bathroom was the worsted. Cracked sink, faucets that were loose and looked like they were moments from falling out, toilet seat was hanging on my a thread, shower dripped all night and the AC was not working. I'm at the hotel right now lying in bed. It's just a few minutes past 11pm, and I will not be able to sleep for another FIVE hours because the nightclub across the street (OMNIA) will have music so loud outdoors you can't even carry a normal conversation inside the room. It's so loud you can't watch TV. At times the room even vibrates and reverberates. And the nightclub closes at 4am. So no sleep until then. Heed my words, if you're coming to Vegas and don't plan to spend all night out, avoid the Flamingo and Caesar's Palace at all cost. You won't be able to sleep. And they charged extra at check in to switch us to one of the renovated rooms. The $50 extra a night room has a dingy and grimy shower without a door, so the water gets all over the floor. The faucets are yucky... We paid a $50 surcharge for a Temu-renovated room you can't sleep in. Just don't. I feel scammed and defrauded. I paid for a hotel room, not front row tickets for a nightclub. I've stayed in noisy places before. This is not it. It's like you're actually inside the club. Just avoid this area of the strip entirely (Flamingo/Caesar's Palace) around the nightclub. Read less
