The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of seven restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, four distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! At the Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo, guests feel the energy of the Las Vegas strip while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the islands.

My daughter and I stayed 3 nights in the Habitat tower and it was great. We stayed in a queen mini suite and it was extremely quiet! Great beds and lots of room. When the construction is over it will be amazing. The cost of the water, food, etc is no more expensive than other resort. That’s Vegas. Walk to CVS and stock up instead. Book… Read more

Great “value” hotel if you get offered a “free” (you’ll likely still pay resort fees) stay or if you can stay for less than $75 a night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves (even the newly renovated ones) show their age. The worst thing for me though is the air quality. Being an older hotel/casino, the HVAC system is completely clogged up with dust and debris (you can see the build in the vents). My wife and I woke up every morning with an extremely dry throat and bloody noses from how poor the air quality of the rooms are. Overall, it’s a good place to stay if you’re on a budget (especially considering how great of a location it is in), just know that it isn’t going to necessarily be the best place to stay. Read less

Awful awful awful. Booked for 5 nights but only ended up doing the 1 night as we couldn’t take anymore. £1000 for 5 nights which I thought was very expensive but did pay extra for a strip view and I heard the hotel was okay so gave it a go. Checked in fine on the kiosks so I could avoid those ridiculous queues. Arrived to the 8th floor to find my building view of the roof outside 😂 safe completely broken couldn’t even lock anything away and the bathroom looked like it was from my Nan’s house in 1970’s with the curtain. Room was disgusting and I can not believe the audacity to charge that amount for this hotel. If it was £60-80 a night you would just get on with it but not £1000 for 5 nights 😅 Went straight down reception and headed down the side to speak to a member of staff. Got told to wait in the queue even though we had already checked in and they could have easily of had a conversation about our issue. She was very rude. We told her our stuff isn’t safe as the safe is broken. She tells us we have to wait in our room for the engineer to come down. ‘Okay no problem how long will he be? Do we have a timeframe of when we are next being seen to if we wait?’ She says ‘no he doesn’t work here we have to call him out’ 😂 ‘well can I leave you with my number and can you let me know when he’s arrived to the hotel as we can stay local?’ ‘No we can’t do that’ 😂 right okay so you want us to just sit in our hotel and it could be an all night timeframe with no other information 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣 wouldn’t discuss anything else unless we waited in the check in queue even though we had already checked in. Decided to head out with all our valuables and come back later to discuss it as there was easily 40 people in the queue waiting to check in. Came back to discuss our situation and explained what’s happened. The same lady was still being very rude saying we need to now come back tomorrow morning there’s nothing we can do right now. No apology, no empathy or understanding. Just an awful human being. Looked online at alternative hotels and found the Bellagio on a deal for only £300 extra which wasn’t there when originally booking. So keep checking around each week to see if any price drops so you can avoid the Flamingo. Flamingo… if you are charging your customers for a strip view atleast make it 15th floor and above. False advertisement for anything underneath as you can just see the top of a building… Read less

Warning about fraudulent transactions The hotel charged unjustified fees to our credit card, including a 7-night stay that had already been fully paid. They also added adjustment fees that they were unable to explain. Despite our attempts to resolve the issue with the manager, we were told to deal with the bank instead. In total, there were two sets of charges amounting to $1,800 that we had to dispute with the bank. Even the bank was surprised and told us it looked like a form of disguised fraud. The hotel itself is not new, but the restaurants and the pool are nice. Our room was dirty, the shower leaked through the door, and despite our request to have the room cleaned and towels replaced, nothing was done. A very bad experience—we left earlier than planned.
