As synonymous with Boston as the eponymous tea party and cream pie, Hilton Boston Park Plaza has been a landmark on the city’s hotel circuit since it opened 90 years ago. Reinterpreted for the 21st century traveller with a $100 million mega-makeover, it now adds contemporary décor and mod-cons to its timeless elegance. And you’re in good company, with all bar two US Presidents staying here since it opened. It’s easy to see why, with a top-drawer location near Boston Common. Of course, they wouldn’t all have experienced today’s attractions, which include a mammoth 20,000 SF Health Club, the nightly cocktail hour (well 5 hours) in the Library, and the New England inspired dining of its Off the Common restaurant, with Boston’s signature lobster rolls a menu favourite.

We had a very pleasant stay, and all the staff were extremely attentive throughout our visit. I would like to make a special mention of Mrs. Brunilda, who was exceptionally kind and thoughtful with us. Overall, it has been a truly wonderful experience, and we highly recommend this hotel.

What a beautiful hotel!! The staff were all lovely from housekeeping to check-in. Nicole at the front desk was so kind and the room was very clean. The drinks at the lobby bar were delicious and the very short walk to the garden was a standout feature!

We stay at this Hilton when we are in town to see a show/concert. Location is great for the short walk to the theater district. We arrived early, checked our car with the valet and were greeted by Singh at the front desk. We were overly pleased when Singh said we could check in our room, 3 hours prior to check in, which was greatly appreciated. The crew at the bar is always welcoming. Yes, the hotel is old, (we like to think of that as part of the charm of staying in the city of Boston) the rooms are dated, but they are clean and housekeeping does a great job. Devon, Moises and Singh checked us out and sent us on our way with our chocolate chip cookies. Every one we encountered that works for this hotel has always been pleasant.
