Located a short distance from the convention center it is easy to get on I5 which is a plus. Be aware there is no hotel self-park, valet is $65, there is open city parking across the street but the prices end up being about the same as valet (yes I also think $65 is high for Seattle). The hotel has a coffee shop and bagel place for morning breakfast (prices are about 25% higher) there is a bar in the lobby. 2nd floor has spa and gym. 3rd floor is meeting rooms and larger banquet room. Rooms on the rest of the floor. ice and hydration stations are about every 4th floor. You don't get much of a view except for other buildings. Close enough to walk to restaraunts and Nordstrom. Seattle has a decent bus system with stops close by. Ok the service leaves much to be desired, for 4 days I never received housekeeping service. When I brought this to the front desk I was told that someone marked no service on my registration at check-in, i was told at check-in that the housekeeping occurs ever 2 days. (I did not ask for no service and at the very least I would have wanted my garbage removed.) Someoen would talk to the person that checked me in, I really wish someone had apologized and said that this is not the level of service Hyatt provides-nope just someone will get a talk. The bathroom is awful to try to get ready in, the lighting is so dim that you can't apply makeup. The shower splashed on the floor ( no curtain -it is partial glass). They talk up the sustainable efforts they have made and I appreciate it, but I also couldn't get the thermostat to sit at a comfortable level (that might be a me thing). No water in the room but they give you a refillable metal bottle. Overall I won't be back to this property, there are too many options that will care and give better service. Read less

I really enjoyed my stay here for a conference for work. It was in a great location an easy walk from Pike Place market and the harbor along with a lot of great restaurants. I requested an allergy-free room and was able to text the front desk at the hotel ahead of time about it. They had an air purifier in my room along with chemical-free cleaned sheets. I have a strong fragrance sensitivity and it was really great to be able to get out of all the fragrance everywhere for the night. The last hotel I had stayed in, the sheets were so heavily fragranced - as was the entire room - it made me ill and I could hardly stand to be in there. So, these two features meant a lot. I also loved that they had filtered water stations (cold or hot) in the lobby and every 4th floor so I could keep my water bottle full instead of having to buy and haul gallons of water up to my room as I drink a lot of water. The staff was great - so responsive. I LOVE that I can text the front desk and get a quick and accurate response. That was such a great change from the usual menus you have to wade through and then not even get someone at that location. Definitely recommend if you are in downtown Seattle. Read less

The Olive 8 is one of my favorite places to stay when attending things at the convention center. The hotel is very inviting and the rooms, pool and restaurant are clean and very good. The staff has always been friendly and attentive
