I booked a stay at this Marriott Vacation Club solely because of its proximity to family I was visiting. Upon checking in and going up to my room, I immediately heard extremely loud, continuous children screaming. When I went back downstairs to address the issue, I was informed by the front desk that the noise was coming from the neighboring Hyatt property and that the entire side of the building is affected by reverberations throughout the day.
I explained that the noise made it impossible for me to work during the day, which was a primary reason for my stay. The front desk associate called her manager, who—over the phone—authorized a cancellation and assured me that all charges would be reversed. Based on that confirmation, I left the property and checked into the JW Marriott, which was far more suitable.
Since then, I have called the property manager three separate times with no return calls whatsoever. Due to the complete lack of follow-up and professionalism, I was forced to escalate the matter to Marriott corporate and place a stop payment with my credit card company.
This property appears disorganized, unresponsive, and poorly managed. If you’re visiting San Francisco, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere—perhaps at a boutique hotel or a different Marriott-branded property altogether.

Stayed here for business in February 2026. The location is convenient and the staff is very friendly; however, the hotel itself feels quite claustrophobic. There appears to be virtually no sound insulation between rooms or floors, and the noise level in my room was unbearable. The hotel’s solution—providing earplugs on the bed—is not an acceptable substitute for proper soundproofing. This was, by far, the noisiest hotel experience I have ever had.
Additionally, the gym is poorly equipped, and the photos on the hotel’s website do not accurately reflect the equipment that is actually available.

This hotel is within walking distance of so many wonderful San Francisco locations. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a gelato tasting during our stay. One helpful staff member recommended the Luisa Restaurant for dinner. Our meal was fantastic!
