First, the pros: -- We loved the location. It's very convienient to so many things. -- The view from our room was excellent (for once). -- The room was modern and clean. -- The staff were friendly And the cons: -- The room was tiny, and there was nowhere to unpack our clothes. For the few things we hang, the closet was fine, but I really dislike the trend I've seen in hotels for removing the dresser, entirely. Especially for small rooms, it just makes it so difficult to keep things tidy. I hate living out of my suitcase and the 2 hole cubby thing in the closet is not adaquate. -- The soundproofing between rooms was inadaquate, as we were kept awake by our neighbors carrying on and going in and out of their room until 2am our first night -- There is no way to close the door quietly, even if you're *trying* to be considerate (to be fair, this is an industry-wide thing. I've never been in a hotel where the doors weren't way too loud) -- The pillows were the worst I've ever tried sleeping with. Too little filling to be useful, and the pillow's casing (not the pillow case, but the pillow itself) was plastic and I sweated through the night, when I could sleep at all. Who thought that kind of pillow was a good idea? -- The AC was not great. We had to turn it to 62 to just exist in the room. It was definintely NOT working right. All in all, I don't think we'll stay there again. I've been pretty loyal to the Marriott brand for years, but Sheraton is always hit or miss. This one leans pretty close to miss for me, unfortunately Read less

The room was modern and clean. Only one slight thing that stood out was a dark haired lady that checked us in she just didn’t seem interested or happy not one smile , I thought that might be a one off but the day we were checking out the same lady not one smile, seems like a silly thing to moan about but all four of us noticed it and just thought it was strange as we’re used to a smile cheerful reception. The Sheraton Boston Back Bay reportedly underwent a $100 million renovation. Our room on the 28th floor (29 floors total) was very modern and geared towards business people. The hotel has a state of the arts fitness center and large indoor pool for lap swimming. There were constant business conventions during our stay. Since the renovations were recently completed, there is currently no restaurant and it’s unknown what the hotel’s plans are for a restaurant. However, there are ample eating places in close proximity of varying prices and cuisines. The hotel is nicely located in the Prudential Center and close to the subway and Back Bay’s main restaurant/shopping areas. The Back Bay Area is very chic and has a diverse demographic population. It is also close enough to walk to the Boston Common and even to the downtown and freedom trail area for someone who likes to walk. Read less

I had an amazing view overlooking the Charles river. The bed was comfy. The shower could have used a bit more pressure. The bathroom had great light. The AC worked wonderful. The hotel went out of the way to accommodate my request for a quiet room. The hotel is nearly perfect. Best hotel stay in Boston ever. Read less
