The hotel

The Anndore House oozes style, soul and sophistication. Dating back to the 1950s, the hotel injected ounces of unique touches to every area within its walls. There’s a barber shop, local artistry, a vinyl record player in every room, and two dining venues. The Constantine Restaurant has a show kitchen, so you can watch the chefs at work cooking up your order, or for a more relaxed setting, head to the Scarlet Door Café. Excellent customer service, big enough room. Bring slippers and the no-carpet floor will be fine. It was a great price.

Stayed here several days for a family gathering, we all loved the hotel and none of us knew it existed previously. Location was extremely convenient to stores, restaurants and subway, the whole place had a super funky retro vibe with decor and layout. Rooms were slightly larger than average and had more storage space than normal. Staff were all really helpful and friendly, beds comfortable and rooms very clean. The lobby is a bit cramped, but that is just the way it was built a long time ago. Also, the restaurant was excellent and the coffee/barber shop was special. Read less

Funky hotel just off of Younge St. and just south of Bloor. Stayed for 4 days around New Years Eve. Always love the Yorkville area. No complaints about the hotel. Restaurant and bar were good although rarely busy when we were there. Don't fear the neighborhood. As in any city, keep your head on a swivel. Access to a local nearby gym was great.
