The Westin Harbour Castle

Star rating

The hotel

A luxurious, landmark waterfront hotel, Westin ensures your every comfort is met at the Harbour Castle. Beautifully appointed guest rooms with Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Bath offer a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day spent sightseeing. There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool in which to wallow and the WESTIN Workout Gym, overlooking the picturesque Toronto Islands — enough to inspire anyone to take to the treadmill! Afterwards, recline in the whirlpool or, if you’ve still energy to spare, perhaps a game of tennis or squash may tempt you. There are plenty of restaurants close by but highly recommended are both the hotel’s eateries. The Mizzen serves exquisite à la carte dishes alongside a very tempting buffet to start your day, and when evening comes around why not try the incredible cuisine of Michelin Star chefs Ernesto & Alfonso at Don Alfonso 1890. If you're looking for something a bit more chilled, retire to the Chartroom Bar and Lounge where you can grab a local brew and a range of dishes, throughout the day.

Stayed with my wife on a Saturday night. Totally renovated! I remember this place as showing its age - not anymore. Only complaint is that the valet parking was slow.

If you're planning to watch a game at Scotiabank Arena or need access to Union train station, then this is the hotel for you! Alongside it's convenient location, there are amenities galore, especially for families. In addition, there are a few eateries nearby, including the NBA Courtside restaurant. A pharmacy and convenience store are also within walking distance. Regular activities are organised for children (such as cookie decorating), there is also a fully stocked games room and a huge pool and spa, with a sauna in the change area. A gym overlooks this area too. The roof top has a basketball hoop and tennis court, unfortunately these were not accessible in winter. We were lucky enough to stay in a newly renovated room, with views out to the harbour and islands. The bathroom had a filtered water tap (what a great idea!) plus a bath tub and shower combo. The comfy beds, slippers and bathrobes, alongside complimentary lavender oil for sleeping, made the stay feel more upmarket. I was however, not a fan of the frosted glass bathroom door (it was not lockable). Read less

No food at bar after 11:45. No vending machines. Breakfast was lovely but very long service. Finally ordered. Waited too long for food to arrive. Server was so very nice.… Read more

We had some trouble at check in, the computers went down and our check in was delayed a few hours. Seemed a little chaotic at the front desk, took a while to get situated so we waisted a lot of time. Otherwise no complaints, had a nice comfortable stay. Enjoyed meals on site and near by walking distance there are options. The rooms are comfortable… Read more
