The hotel

Living the high life in more ways than one, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills is every bit the VIP pad – especially when you’re up on the exclusive rooftop pool deck, soaking in the 360 degree views as you slink from your private cabana into the glimmering pool for a dip. With its balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows, your guestroom delivers its own jaw-dropping views of the Boulevard, hills, or LA skyline. And the views inside are just as dazzling, whether you’re eying up the sparkling cocktails at its French-inspired Lobby Lounge; the glamour of La Prairie Spa; the fine dining masterpieces of its French-American restaurant (under the helm of celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten); or the beautiful coastal Californian interiors by creative genius Pierre-Yves Rochon – who’s used muted greens and golds and delicate woods and whites to create an art deco garden vibe.

True luxury. From the moment you walk in, signature scent at the property sets the tone for what’s to come. Intimate and luxurious art deco finishes at every corner. The spa and pool were also lovely. The real highlight is the rooftop restaurant, the views man, the views…the food also matched the views..Undeniably relaxing stay. Read less

Staying with friends at the "luxury hotel" I went down to the lobby bar for a drink & food. Being the only one at the bar I sat there for 5 minutes before a bartender even appeared when he did I didn't get his name (no name tag, didn't introduce himself) What surprised me the most was his lack of interpersonal & communication skills, asking if… Read more

Would I like a menu? The night before I went to the roof top bar at the Hilton next door, excellent service but here was so disappointing. I noticed he continually left the bar going thru a door to the right at the bar over and over again like he didn't want to be there and had no interest in the customer at the bar, I've always said it's one thing to not like your job just don't show it, big fail here do better, not feeling like a valued customer and being disrespected is very disappointing -2 Read less

For example, our room wasn't ready at check in, despite arriving at 4:35 PM. Without hesitation, the front desk agent invited us to enjoy $100 complimentary at the roof top bar. She grabbed our bags and whisked us to the elevator bank. Before we even had a chance to be bummed about our room, we were enjoying free drinks with a stunning view. Our keys were delivered to the bar about 30 mins later. The room was very nice, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Service all over the property was top-notch. We had lovely breakfasts, where we were immediately recognized and welcomed by name (the host was the same from the rooftop the evening before). The pool deck was definitely a highlight. It's beautiful and relaxing. Overall, this was a lovely stay and I'm sure that we will be back. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating $5 Minibar restocking fee

Nice hotel but they charge a $5 minibar restocking fee. This is in addition to the cost of a minibar item (e.g. item cost + $5 restocking fee). Distasteful for a 5 star hotel and a blatant scheme to rip you off with no value in return. Will not be returning next time… rather give another hotel $1,000+ a night that doesn’t try to steal $5 from me.
