Image of the Tripadvisor rating Room service in a paper bag? Buh-bye!

The check-in experience was fine, the suite comfortable with a great view, an oddly small bathroom and very few outlets. Overall ok for a Westin. But, for me, a hotel room service breakfast is meant to be a pleasantly served experience. Not here! A paper bag arrived with coffee in a paper cup and eggs etc in a cardboard box. Ugh Ugh Ugh! The entire experience is always great thanks to one of their managers named Irene. I have to also mention Freddie and Chen in the Club. They served us well on sushi night. They give superb service and presentation of the food and drink selections. They also keep it clean.

At the Executive Club Lounge on the 5th floor, it is always a pleasure to be greeted in the morning by Elfi to check me in, and then chat with Julia, the waitress. Freddy is just as welcoming and conversational in the evening. This is the primary reason I choose to stay at the Westin Copley Plaza over other hotels.

Good rooms with major elevator issues There is a lot that’s good about this hotel: good location, decent rooms, surprisingly good hotel restaurant. But the elevators are such a mess that I would not stay here again. They have moved to an elevator system that requires typing in floor numbers at a kiosk. But the software logic is completely broken, especially when things get busy. Elevators will stop at every other floor even when nobody is getting on or off and will take (without exaggeration) 15-20 minutes to arrive. On one day, I spent 45 minutes just waiting for and riding elevators. The hotel also seems to be consistently busy with large conventions which makes the elevator issue worse and clogs up the hotel facilities. Read less

The hotel is well located, well equipped, the rooms are generously sized and exceptionally clean and serviced well. The bar office delicious food and reasonably price drinks, and the bar staff are incredibly attentive, particularly Cori who served us on several occasions during our stay; she was always polite, courteous and friendly. When we return to Boston, this will be our chosen place to stay. Read less
