Stayed here for the weekend, staying in the Jazz section. Appreciate the proximity to Hollywood studios/Epcot. All within 20 min bus ride. Comfortable rooms within a short walk to the main building/bus hub.
Staff in the food court was exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating. Their friendliness made our meal experience enjoyable.

Left the house July 6. Went to Disney Springs
July 7 Went to Disney Studios.
That night- 11 member trip that my wife planned and paid for to have her dream trip with the whole family. Kids and grand kids. 4 of which had never been. On that second night after going to Disney Studios, our trip changed for ever at midnight when she slipped in the shower and fell. Slick fiberglass floor, no none skid on the surface, no grab bars on the walls. Ankle broken in 3 places. Surgery required. Transferred from ER in Kisseme July 8 in the AM to Orlando for surgery that day. 3 days later, July 11 surgery was done. We were supposed to leave for home July 12. Trip had to be extended 1 day along with rescheduling flights and transportation to the airport. So the woman that put this all together spent 5 days in the hospital instead of enjoying the trip of a lifetime with her family. The resort paid all of my taxi fares for me to go back and forth to the hospital as often as needed. As spent as much time as possible with the family, per her request. The resort recommended calling and opening a claim with WDW claims. They did extended our stay another day, but we had to fight them to get extra meals due to the meal plans expiring.
July 12 at the airport. The female TSA agent was next to impossible to deal with even though she was in a wheel chair and a boot with 15 screws in her ankle. Along with hospital discharge papers. I believe she examined every inch of her body.
We finally made home and I went through the whole story again for WDW claims.
This is far from being over. Minimum 8 weeks non weight bearing before therapy could start.
There has been numerous follow up appt"s with her Orthopedic Dr. and is now into her first week ( Sept 15) of physical therapy
During the claims process I was asked what we wanted out of all of this, besides wife being recovered.
1. All medical expenses taken care of.
2. Full reimbursement of our trip
3. Another trip just like it. So she can experience the trip of a lifetime.
Some of us have been to WDW many times. My wife and I have done 5 trips over many years and enjoyed everyone up to now.
We would go again but with certain expectations from WDW.

I absolutely loved this hotel for the convienience and the hospitality. However, the rooms are tiny ! I felt like a Manhattan tiny room. We rented a suite and it had a queen bed and a convertible table/cama. It was clean and excellent conditions. The food is ok. The hospitality is awesome as it is in all Disney World . We enjoyed the pool area and…

Pros & Cons - Loved the Family Suites

Ok, I've stayed at many Disney Resort Hotels, so I am only going to compare this to the other value resorts. Comparing out of the pricing category is apples to oranges. To me, this one had pros and cons. Typically, we are Pop Century / Art of Animation 'Preferred room' people and absolutely love those resorts!! However, with my children older now, we cannot share beds, so this year, we decided to try a family suite. The Family Suites at Art of Animation for the time we were traveling was about $800 more, so we opted to try All-Star Music Family Suites.
PROS: The Family Suites were definitely spacious and worked perfectly for our family of four adults (Kids 21 and 17). I do wish there were more room in the double queen side of it, but it did the job. The pool was nice and the resort was clean. The front desk staff was fantastic as well! I had an issue with a missing item while there and they got it taken care of right away. I was so happy I thought I might cry!! haha The gift shop staff also was absolutely fantastic!
The location isn't bad. While the All-Stars are a bit further than some resorts, the buses seemed to run pretty swiftly, so it wasn't bad at all. Or maybe we just chose our park days well, because there were really long lines for other parks. I really don't know.
CONS: The staff in the food court did not seem to know what they were doing, so lines were super long and service was super slow. There was a lot of confusion and frustrated people. An off-duty cast member told me that they'd just got a new group of trainees in and that's why they didn't seem to know what was going on, but in that case, they weren't ready to be on their own IMO. Sounds like their training process needs to be evaluated.
PICKY RANDOM CON: Theming at this resort was nice, but it lacked the Disney magic in my opinion. After all of the resorts we've stayed at, this one just seemed.. less than. The food court seemed dark and dull, there wasn't the typical music and happiness radiating through it. The pool was fine, but again, something was missing. I don't know what, but it just didn't feel like it does at the others.
OVERALL: Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Only because of the family suite pricing though. Otherwise, I'd rather do the Family Suites at AOA. If you're doing a standard double queen or king room, I recommend trying elsewhere.
Have fun!

Reception is staffed by very helpful cast members, as Disney like to call their staff. As 1st timers in a disney resort it was all a bit of the unknown. They explained everything set up the disney app, Magic bands etc that you need these days in the parks to enter etc.
Room.
We had a premier room which to be honest was a little small given that it was supposed to sleep 4. With only 3 draws storing everything would be a problem. Rooms were cleaned every other day to differing standards. Some days were better than others it was little things like the coffee was all replaced but the paper cups weren't.
With the 2nd double bed down I am sure you would bash your legs on the edges. Drying wet stuff was almost impossible as there was no where to hang anything.
Food.
Umm.. this is the bit that really lets the place down. Given the resorts distance from any other eating place its a very restricted menu consisting of fries, pizza, burgers etc. They do have the same 3 specials each night but the ones I had were not that well cooked. Price wise its about average. Service was very slow when we were there and they only serve particular items at the serving stations so if you want two different items it means 2 lines.
The registers, or tills, were only half open and as they are under the air con vents the food was cold by the time we had paid and found a table.
Pool
Excellent, clean and well staffed by lifeguards the best bit about the resort.
All in all its very much a budget resort with good transport links to the other disney parks etc via the resort bus system.
