recently stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa using Disney Vacation Club points, and unfortunately this was one of our more frustrating Disney experiences. We were assigned a handicap-accessible room, despite having previously called ahead after a past stay to specifically request that we not be placed in one again. I completely understand the importance of having these rooms available, but the layout simply doesn’t work well for our family. The lower countertops, bathroom setup, and overall design created challenges, especially with kids, and made the room noticeably less functional. What was most disappointing wasn’t just the room itself, but the lack of any solution. We spent valuable vacation time trying to address the issue, only to be told nothing could be done. For a resort at this price point and reputation, that was surprising. We’ve been long-time Disney Vacation Club members and typically have great experiences. We spend a lot of time at Disney properties, dining, shopping, and really investing in the experience—which is why this stood out. This felt like a preventable issue that wasn’t taken seriously. If you’re particular about room layout, I would strongly recommend confirming your room assignment in advance and not relying solely on requests being noted. Overall, the property itself is beautiful, but this experience definitely impacted our stay Read less

Took a visit to Disney Floridian Resort and Spa to see the grandeur of the resort. We got off the train and wondered around the resort. We stopped in the spa store and bought some bath bombs. The people who worked at the store were very helpful. We spent a lot of time there smelling all the scents.

Our room was clean- we were in the Big Pine Building. Our view was so so but we didn’t sit outside this visit. Here is the issue and it is a big one if you are in an ECV. The busses are shared with the Poly. They stop there first. When they get to the GF the busses are full. There were no ECV’s in the first bus but it was full so “he was going to… Read more

The busses are shared with the Poly. They stop there first. When they get to the GF the busses are full. There were no ECV’s in the first bus but it was full so “he was going to call a bus” for us. However, this will be the same scenario. I won’t stay here again for that reason and it’s my favorite resort so it makes me sad. I would walk if I didn’t have heart issues. If you don’t need an ECV it would be fine but plan on standing IF you can get on a bus!! The busses should never be shared with the Poly especially since they have the new tower. Off hours “maybe” but peak hours- shameful for the amount of money you spend to stay here. Very frustrating. Shouldn’t take over an hour to get a bus to a park. Read less

We had breakfast here on the 22nd of December. The restaurant was lovely and the choices were good and cheaper than a lot of other places outside of disney. Food was good. The staff were friendly and professional. Only warning, locals are on their holidays after 21st and the restaurant had lots of children being rather loud. Which I was quiet… Read more
