For One Time it Was OK

The grounds, lobby, and pool are very nice. The room was large and nicely decorated, nice view, beds comfortable, so I gave it 3 stars for that. However, no housekeeping ever came, everything you touched in the room was sticky. I got into the shower and discovered only then after getting wet that the soap and shampoo pumps did NOT work! My husband got them to work but it took awhile. The sink is a pedestal style so you have to keep your toiletries outside the door on the vanity. There is no place to hang wet bathing suits and very little towel hanging bars. We didn't use the safe, but I discovered that it was locked anyhow had we wanted to use it. In other hotels the safe is always open for your use. The balcony door was flimsy and hard to open. The hotel is pricey for not getting any housekeeping or even restocking of clean towels etc. I don't like wasting vacation time having to call someone and sitting and waiting for them to bring supplies to the room. The parking garage only had stairs, no elevator. Next time we will explore other options.

Noisy air conditioning in rooms
Sep 18, 2025dreamheadMill Valley, California
The rooms are good except that they have those wall units for air conditioning. I was in San Diego during a humid spell, so had to run the air con. It kept me up all night with the roaring fan, even though I set it to low. Other than that, the hotel is in a good location near the beach with pleasant outdoor gardens and restaurant seating. The…

The Hawaiian theme is fun and not as kitschy as one might have expected.

Lovely resort vibe!

We walked into this hotel and immediately felt the resort vibe. We stayed in a bay view wall out room and were able to enjoy the amazing view of the calm Mission Bay. The pool area is also nice, but there is no service here which surprised us (no food or drinks / bar) on offer. The service overall wasn’t as good as we experienced in other…

We walked into this hotel and immediately felt the resort vibe. We stayed in a bay view wall out room and were able to enjoy the amazing view of the calm Mission Bay. The pool area is also nice, but there is no service here which surprised us (no food or drinks / bar) on offer. The service overall wasn’t as good as we experienced in other California hotels (staff weren’t able to answer basic questions and we had to wait longer for service). But given the fantastic location and value for money, we would still recommend this hotel as it delivered on most points!

Great experience and resort facilities. All around 10 rating. Combines beautiful bay beach, activities, spa and excellent dining experience. Staff truly helpful and very nice. Spa deep tissue massage with Mario was fantastic including salt and turmeric as well as stretching.
