Unfortunately we were EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with this hotel. Starting with the misleading advertising from Booking.com. The building that is on the picture is NOT the same. It doesn’t have the standard of a 5 star hotel . The hotel is being renovated and is not written anywhere so there is only one very crowded swimming pool and the beach area is so narrow that is not enough for everyone because the area is occupied by renovations. I booked this hotel because I wanted to relax by the beach and I will not be able to do that. I tried to cancel the reservation through Booking, the attendant was very helpful but the hotel denied my cancellation. I will never stay at a Hilton again in my life.

I’ve got to say until this evening my standard reply to “What’s the food like in Dubai?” Is “Never had a bad meal in Dubai”and that’s in twenty years! …..The buffet was cheap at 145 Dhs and that should have been a warning. I must point out that the hotel is under refurbishment and I don’t know what affect that has on the kitchen but the standard of meat was very poor. The buffet was the smallest selection of a Dubai five star hotel I’ve ever experienced. At the time I chose to attend the buffet I only had the choice of chicken wings that were cold or a fish option. Ribs were advertised along with beef but none was present. Most of my party commented on their food being cold. The ribs finally arrived but they were very fatty and not very tasty. I didn’t get to try the beef as others had convinced me not to. Let’s go to the cheese and crackers then. No crackers! Had to ask for crackers and again had to wait. Every time I returned to my table my cutlery had napkin had been taken and not replaced despite full glasses sitting there. As we were leaving we were greeted with “Hope to see you again” …. Not for a while I’m afraid.
