The hotel

Where is it

Located on the North coast on the famed Ocho Rios Bay, 15-minutes from Dunn's River Falls. Transfer time from the airport: 1 hour and 30 minutes. Complimentary transfers included for stays of 4 nights or more (only applicable to/from Montego Bay Airport).

Hotel information

680 rooms on up to 14 floors with lifts in each block. All with air-conditioning, smart TV with personalised streaming via Google chromecast, safe, WiFi access, coffee maker, alarm clock, liquor dispenser containing white rum, dark special rum, whiskey and vodka, mini-bar (refreshed daily) containing soft drinks, bottled water, juices and domestic beer, bottle of red wine on arrival, CHI bath products, hairdryer, hair straighteners, bathrobes and slippers.

Deluxe Resort View Rooms are located in the North Tower, these rooms feature either one king-size bed or two double beds, accommodating up to two adults and one infant, views overlooking the resort grounds or surrounding hotel property.

Deluxe Resort View Rooms with Balcony are located in the South building and have a balcony with table and 2 chairs, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Superior Deluxe Ocean View Rooms with Balcony have a balcony with table and 2 chairs, 1 king-size bed, some with 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children.

6 restaurants: Buccaneers Reef (International buffet, open for breakfast lunch and dinner), Pier 8 (seafood à la carte, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner), La Gondola (Italian à la carte, open for dinner), Momo (Pan-Asian, open for dinner). Sun Deck (pizza served at lunchtime and a la carte Indian cuisine for dinner). Jerk Hut on the beach serving Jamaican grilled specialities (open for lunch and dinner). Coffee shop. 6 bars including a Piano bar, a sophisticated bar specialising in homemade cocktails and wines, Loud Bar with live music, and Noir nightclub.

Great holiday at Moon Palace Jamaica. This was our first trip to Jamaica and certainly won't be our last. Every staff member is so polite and friendly. If you're English and wearing your teams shirt they'll talk non stop premier league! Our server Melissa by the pool was amazing keeping us topped up with drinks all day. There are also multiple pool bars which are handy when waiting for pizza. The drinks are also very good for an all inclusive. The food is also great with plenty of different options by the pool and on an evening. During the day we recommend the jerk shack. On an evening pier 8 and agra are outside but a great dining experience. Flowrider is an absolute must for kids and unlike other resorts it's included which is a massive bonus. There is also a slide, splash park and a pool with a volley ball net. We didn't go to the main evening entertainment but enjoyed the singers etc in the lobby bar on an evening. It would have been nice if they continued later as we couldn't use some of the other bars due to having a child with us. The only negative is the rooms and in particular the bathrooms are small. Also the hair dryer isn't very powerful but the hair straighteners are OK. We will look to come back but probably to a different room type. Read less

The kids camp absolutely made our trip. This kid absolutely loved, leaving her family to go have fun with other kids. Can’t recommend this this place enough. 10/10!

The hotel itself is beautiful, the food is great but the staff is really what makes this place standout. From Antoinette at the front desk, Nicki in guest services, Kadian, Shereda to Jimmar and Shane in the Momo restaurant…the staff is the definition of hospitality and great customer service.
