The hotel

We think the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista offers excellent value as well as being so close to Disney. In the 23 acres of landscaped grounds is a lake which is home to a variety of Floridian bird life. You will find all the great family amenities in your room, just beware you may just get too comfortable! There are some great deals in the family restaurant here, and a free shuttle bus will take you to the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Disney springs is very close too — with a fantastic array of restaurants, bars and shops there.

I’m here currently, an absolute nightmare. Before booking with TUI we asked for out two rooms to ideally be next door to each other or as close as possible. On arrival today my room was originally quite far down the same corridor, not ideal but fine. Except the door was broken. Reception didn’t believe me when I said the door was broken and sent security, who insinuated I couldn’t manage to open it because in a woman. I am a woman, one with multiple degrees who is a medical doctor, I can open a door. Unsurprisingly, despite being a man, he couldn’t open the broken door either. So back to reception again, who gave me a new room “round the corner” - it’s as far away as it could be whilst remaining on the same floor. Next door is a loud dog who is constantly barking. Back again, nothing they can do, no idea when the original room door might be fixed, utterly unhelpful. The new room smells of damp and there’s black hairs everywhere, but at this point I can’t face going down to have another unhelpful conversation with reception. Take my advice and book elsewhere. The hotel's location is extremely strategic for accessing the parks and also the outlet malls. Easy access for those arriving from the airport. What could be improved is the variety of products at breakfast. The entire team is super friendly, especially Jill in the restaurant, who served us in the morning and was super attentive and pleasant!

We stayed here for 2 weeks from May 4th and there were a few issues. First stay in this hotel but did stay at the international drive one last year and loved it and thought this one would be the same. On first impressions room looked ok apart from the carpet. Was in the room about 30 minutes with white socks on and notice the bottom of them were really dirty! Bins got emptied regularly think was only 1 day they did not. Bath towels got changed regularly if you can call them bath towels they were tiny. We had to ring for more toilet roll a couple of times and ask for coffee bags. Rooms didn’t get clean till about the 7th day and we really needed it then wqs desperate for a vacuum. We then rang reception and asked if our sheets could be changed again as my son had a bit of a mess on his bed and this was done. Our parents were next door and were un well when our room got cleaned and had do not disturb on. They took it off the next day and still a few days later did not get cleaned they had to ring and ask to be told that it had been cleaned when it clearly had not. They did come and clean it though. The first week we did not visit the pool much but when we did noticed that it was very dirty and was stinging my husband’s eyes. There was green buildup all around the edges and one child was crying as his eyes were burning too. The second week the pool looked much better. After speaking to a couple near the end of our holiday we ended up talking about the pool and they took noticed it was dirty and apparently a lot of other people and reported to management. His wife was also poorly the same as both our parents. We were told A company come out to clean the pool and it took about 3 hours. We were also told something was wrong with the filters and PH was not right. Anyway second week pool was fine so much better. We still enjoyed our holidays but there were lots of reasons i would not return to this hotel that could be a lot better. If at the pool also there is no toilets there you have to walk a little up to next block where there is 1 male and female toilet with swipe access on the ground floor of the block. One occasion was full of poo and another time a worker didn’t lock the door and my son walked in on him. The splash pad that is advertised also did not open. Read less

We arrived at the Rosen Inn and unfortunately, the hotel key card machine was broken/down. They told us that security would meet us at our room to let us in temporarily. To our delight, a security person was right there waiting for us with no delay. We also really enjoyed the pool area. Towels were well stocked and the weather was so great. We also got a lot of use out of the microwave and Mini fridge in our room. This saved money on several meals that we ate inside the hotel. Rosen Inn is very family friendly, pet friendly, conveniently located, and we will definitely return. Read less

We stayed at Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista for 10 days as a couple and had a really lovely experience. The hotel was clean, tidy, and all of the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. We stayed in Block 3 on the third floor facing the car park, and despite being close to the I-4, we couldn’t hear any traffic noise at all. The beds were super comfortable, the pillows were heavenly, and even after long, exhausting days at Disney and Universal, we always woke up feeling refreshed. Housekeeping was great, towels were changed daily and the beds were changed every 4 days. We had breakfast at the hotel once during our stay and really enjoyed it. At $15.95 plus tax, it was definitely worth the money, especially as they even had Mickey waffles! The only small thing that would have improved the room would be having a couple of plates available to use with the microwave. The hotel shuttle times to the parks were quite limited, but as this is run by a third party, I wouldn’t fault the hotel for that. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return. Read less
