I recently stayed at RumFish Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, and I have very mixed feelings about the experience. The beach itself is absolutely breathtaking—hands down one of the most beautiful I’ve seen anywhere in the United States. The sand, the water, and the sunsets are truly stunning and were easily the highlight of my stay. Unfortunately, the service across the resort does not come close to matching the beauty of its surroundings. From the bars to the front desk, the level of service was consistently poor. Staff responsiveness was lacking, and it often felt like guest concerns weren’t taken seriously. One of the most frustrating issues was that the phones throughout the resort were not working—something we were told has been the case since the hurricane. This made it extremely difficult to reach anyone for assistance and added to the overall sense of disorganization. On top of that, I accidentally left my credit card at one of the restaurants, and retrieving it turned into an ordeal. I had to go back five separate times to security, only to eventually be told it was being held in a place it wasn’t supposed to be. While I’m grateful it was returned, the process was incredibly concerning and left me questioning how situations like that are handled. I ended up freezing the card for peace of mind. It’s really disappointing because this property has so much potential. With a beach this incredible, it could easily be a top-tier destination. I truly hope management takes steps to improve the service and operations to match the natural beauty of the resort. Read less
