After having a wonderful holiday last year we rebooked directly with the hotel to go again. Whilst we still enjoyed the beach front location, general ambience of the hotel, and the service from most of the staff, we were somewhat upset that no one had contacted us from reservations regarding the works to the restaurant, which carried on each day, including weekends, and as our ocean view room was just across the way caused us some disturbance. Those that had rooms further from the pool/restaurant to be fair probably did not suffer the same noise. When we arrived we received notice in the form of a letter stating that the works were being carried out and unlike other guests who had booked vis tour operators this was the first we heard of it. Now don’t get me wrong the maintenance was absolutely necessary to ensure the structure was sound, but it was particularly galling that others who had booked via tour operators had in some instances, the opportunity to change hotels, and had done so, whether we would have done remains an open question. Booking directly we had the right to cancel our stay up to 7 days beforehand without penalty, you can call me cynical but was this a ploy by the hotel not to lose the booking, because at the time there was availability with many other hotels on the Island. We got a complimentary cocktail and was told by the Management that they would look into the reason we hadn’t been informed and heard nothing more, that just about says it all. We won’t be staying again and a word of warning to others DO NOT BOOK DIRECT as it seems the tour operators have a better attitude towards customer service. Read less

Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Evening meal not so good. It was hit or miss. Got bored of the same menu. The Service is extremely slow. Got a bit annoying as very quiet. The Management have eexcellent customer service in asking how you are and having a chat however I thought most the majority of staff were miserable and felt they did not want to be there. Such a shame. I would not go back again due to the lack of friendliness but would go back for the Beach. Read less
