The hotel

What a unique place! The lifts ascend diagonally up the pyramid wall and the beam of light that shines from the top can be seen from 10 miles up in space. Vegas gets hotter than Egypt in the summer, so you’ll appreciate the 5-acre pool area with 4 pools, as well as a new adult VIP pool* section. Check out the hotel's dining options too — there's Diablos Cantina, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Pyramid Café, and Public House. In the sumptuous Nurture Spa, you can enjoy treatments like botanical body buffs, Swedish massages and refresher facials. Blue Man Group is a comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. You'll be closer to the action than ever before at the specially designed Blue Man Theatre at Luxor Hotel and Casino. It's an outrageous multi-sensory experience you'll never forget.

Rooms are run down and dated at least in the pyramid. Also I stayed in a suite that happened to be on the exact opposite side of the one elevator back for the pyramid. This meant walking like a 2 block walk everytime to get to the elevator. It was insane. Keys to get up in the elevator were hit or miss. Sometimes they worked sometimes they didn’t. Everyone was struggling to get to their floors. Restaurant food was mediocre. Price was reasonable as long as you don’t mind bad food and room. Read less

I’ve never seen such an example of a hotel doing as much to take your money whilst at the same time providing a really shoddy service Check in is a joke. They have taken away all the humans service people and replaced them with machines which don’t work. After standing in a long line to eventually reach a machine that doesn’t work, you are directed to another long line to be served by the one human being they have in duty. When I eventually reached her, she said I had no reservation despite me showing my prepaid voucher. After travelling all day from the UK and then having to deal with this rubbish was totally unacceptable. It took me nearly 2 hours to check in. As it was nearly midnight, I asked how they could justify a $50 per day resort fee for the few minutes the day had left to go. I just got a shrug of the shoulder as a reply. Don’t go anywhere near this hotel Read less

This was honestly one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. I booked a corner room specifically for extra space, but the room was surprisingly cramped. The lighting was very dim, and the window was so dirty that you could barely see outside. The AC/heating unit was clearly very old and extremely loud. The control knob actually fell off when I tried to adjust it. I contacted maintenance and waited 1–2 hours—no one showed up. I scheduled another repair for 10 AM the next morning, and again, no one came. On checkout day, things got much worse. At around 9 AM, housekeeping started loudly knocking on every door in the hallway, which woke me up. When I answered, they simply reminded me that checkout was at 11 AM. Because I had a lot of belongings, I made two trips to the parking lot. After finishing the first trip, I returned to the room at around 10:40 to grab the rest—only to find housekeeping already inside my locked room. All of my remaining belongings were gone. I asked the housekeeper what had happened, but she didn’t understand English at all, making it impossible to communicate. After struggling to communicate (and eventually using a translation tool), she told me everything had already been put into trash bags. I was forced to dig through garbage bags myself to retrieve my own belongings. It was both shocking and incredibly upsetting. I later called to file a complaint. The response was disappointing—there was no real apology, and since I had managed to recover my items myself, they only refunded one day’s resort fee. The call ended abruptly, as if the situation wasn’t taken seriously at all. Overall, this showed a complete lack of care for guests and their property. I would not recommend staying here. There are plenty of better options in Las Vegas—this is not one of them. Read less

If you’re traveling for business, you’re better off staying somewhere else. The rooms lack basic conveniences, no refrigerator, and the coffee maker has been removed, forcing you to go downstairs and pay $8 for a subpar cup of coffee. The arrival experience is equally frustrating. If you’re driving, be prepared for a long walk, nearly a mile in some cases, just to reach the front desk. Once there, you won’t find staff, only self-service kiosks. Check-in requires a personal credit card, making it impractical for business travel. After that, you’re directed to another screen to create your room key, adding yet another unnecessary step. Overall, the property feels like it has shifted away from hospitality and toward maximizing commercial efficiency, at the expense of guest experience. Read less
