Memorable bucket list night

We stayed on the gold floor. Valet service, separate check in. This was a bucket list experience. Hotel is bustling, so many staff running around at all times. We stayed on the gold floor. Valet service, separate check in. This was a bucket list experience. Hotel is bustling, so many staff running around at all times. We saw a wedding banquet being prepared - absolutely stunning. Had a Rockies view room, enjoyed the gold lounge, we swam in the pool and enjoyed the warm sauna. Hot tub was under maintenance which is too bad. All in all, amazing experience. We would go back in a heartbeat. We were treated royally by the staff. This is an amazing hotel and worth the hit to the wallet to go. Maybe someday we will go back for longer than one night!

Poor hygienic standards

We booked this hotel as it was supposed to be one of the best hotels in Banff. It looked grand from outside but unfortunately we had a bad experience with cleanliness which I believe is an ongoing problem with this hotel.
The room we were given had a toilet with a significant brown deposit at the bottom which appeared as long term poor standard of cleaning. It was disgusting. We informed reception/ housekeeping and they tried to clean it for us but they could not. Housekeeping team said the toilet bowl needs to be replaced.
We were asked what we want to do and we requested a different room. They offered a smaller room with smaller beds which was not the ideal but we accepted hoping we will get a clean washroom. Unfortunately the toilet in that room was the same.
(I have attached pictures of both toilets)
It appeared as the hotel staff did not see this was an issue, they were not very polite when communicating; obviously their standards of hygiene was that low.
Communication skills of staff were also questionable across the board.
We stayed in Fairmont chateau Lake Louise before going to Fairmont Banff Springs and their standards were much better in comparison.

The on-site restaurants were exceptional, offering high-quality food and memorable dining experiences. Additionally, the staff throughout the property were attentive, professional, and provided excellent service.
I would certainly recommend staying here for the views, dining, and overall experience.

Almost a 5 but expensive drinks.

All in all it’s a great hotel. It has a very good indoor pool and the food offering is excellent. It clearly has a large conference offering but that doesn’t really affect the leisure side.
Breakfast can be slow if you arrive after 8am. The drinks, especially wines, are very expensive.
Best Afternoon Tea Ever

Everything about my solo visit for Afternoon Tea was perfect!
The food was fantastic, the views were spectacular and I had a lovely table from which to enjoy them.
The service was the best I've experienced in Canada and I very much appreciated being made to feel "important" and valued on this Mothers Day special event.
There was nothing that could…

There was nothing that could have made this any better.....other than sharing it with my son who was back home in the UK.
Thank you 🇨🇦❤️🍰🍾
